The hotel was mostly wonderful. The neighborhood is very nice, with several things nearby to see and do... not THAT close, but it is very close to a subway station, so you can go almost anywhere from there. The building is in very good condition. The room was very nice; the bed was comfortable, the room clean, and it came with the ability to make tea. The breakfasts were delicious (I highly recommend their potatoe scones).
The only issues we had were two. First, there was no elevator. My wife is disabled, and the only available room (even though I booked 3 months in advance) was on the first floor (above the Ground floor, for Americans like myself, so second floor for us). This was not horrible, but something everyone should know if they have disabilities. The second was in the bathroom; the toilet did not flush right on the second-to-last day, and began leaking just a little from the cistern... and at the same time I could not get cold water in the shower, so it was too hot. They could not fix it that day, so we left before it was fixed.
These issues are not deal-breakers... and everything else was incredible. I still highly recommend the place.

Lovely little hotel. The room was newly renovated, very nice and bed comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was great and shower pressure outstanding! Breakfast was just okay. Overall a good place and I will return.

Web page state £5 by cab from city, £ 11 is closer. For a 3 star it is satisfactory but position would have to be linked to a local address.

Phenomenal stay with friendly and helpful professional staff. Hotel is well kept and comfortable. Easy access walking to area of interest or metro service.
Especially appreciated Diane and Gabriel in reception being so helpful. The coffee and tea reception room is very nice.
Highly recommend a stay at Albion.

We had a nice stay at Albion, got a lot of help from the friendly staff when we didn't knew that we needed it (for instance we got help to get a cab when the subway hadn't started in the morning - nota bene it does not start until 10 AM on Sundays). Really enjoyed our stay!

We arrived way too early for check in—jet-lagged and beat, but the lady at the desk got us a room right away. We failed to request a breakfast, but they let us eat breakfast anyway. The hotel is super close to the University of Glasgow area and tons of great restaurants and museums and stores. It’s also decently easy to walk into town and the subway is right there too. Our room was excellent.

Overall great hotel! Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Be aware that the budget room is close to the kitchen so breakfast can be a bit noisy (makes sense for the lesser price). Great location and close to subway.

Lovely place, situated in a great spot on the west end. Our main criticism was we was put in a room on the ground floor next to the kitchen and eating area, which meant there was a lot of noise first thing in the morning as the staff prepared breakfast. Also you where unable to open the window in the room so the room became very warm and uncomfortable. If we stayed again would prefer to be upstairs.

Excellent hotel and Marlene (staff member) was so lovely and helpful. Room was spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast, cooked fresh. Only 2 comments are: 1. Please provide a mug in the room! Who uses silly cups these days? 2. Note that there is NO free parking. It's only about £6 for 24 hours and you have to use the scratch off cards.

This is a small, reasonably priced hotel in a nice neighborhood very close to the University of Glasgow. The room was small and basic but comfortable and clean, with an en-suite bathroom (shower). Charming cafes, shops, and restaurants are just around the corner, as is a subway stop. Perfect for visitors who want to be in the West End.

Nice hotel in what seems to be a nice and safe neighborhood just north of the Great Western Road. Close walking distance to many popular locations in the West End of Glasgow. Marlene, the manager on duty was very nice and very helpful. I would stay here again.

If was clean but the room was extremely small. I.m not sure about the winter time but on 12 degrees outside the heathing was working for 3 hours in the afternoon inly.A bit cold. The staff was nice and welcoming

Little gem of a place, location great for travel in Glasgow, pretty much walking everywhere if you want, very cold it was! but hotel was warm and heating was great in room, fantastic stay

Set back from the river and in studentsville The Albion Hotel with its hotel eyebrows is a lovely place.Very clean and comfortable.The only grumble we have is with the size of the kettle.The teeniest tiniest kettle ever for 3 people prospectively and shot cups to drink from.No complaints otherwise.

Marlene who greeted us after a cold long journey to the hotel was so kind and chatty and made us feel right at home. The room we had was also super spacious and clean which was a delight. We both also had a great nights sleep and a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning which tasted amazing and set us up for the day. We would definitely stay here again!

Positives: Lovely small hotel, clean, quiet, very good location, reasonable prices. Negatives: we booked 2 rooms for one family, but they did not put us next to each other, not even in the same floor with no phones in the rooms! In addition, I did not like the tone on reception man.
