Blocks from most of the shops and main areas. Smaller rooms. Staff was accommodating. Restaurant has good pricing but not open daily. Parking is not on location, but about 8 minute walk. Was hard with luggage n toddler. The hotel was able to schedule transport to the airport.

Aurora Hotel is clean, with a helpful staff and a restaurant. We stayed for 10 days, and the hotel was not ideal for such a long period because there was not enough room to work while one person was sleeping. I'd go there again for a day or two. The location is ideal for tourists visiting Oaxaca. A couple of very minor issues: There were only two electrical outlets (plus one in the bathroom), which is not enough when traveling with digital devices. The patios off the third and fourth floors looked appealing in the hotel's pictures, and might be great for an after-dark drink, but the patios are south-facing. The table umbrellas don't provide shade, and so it is very hot. The beds' mattresses were very firm, which we liked, but not everyone will.

Both cleaning staff and front office personnel exceptionally good.

This was an unpleasant stay for three reasons. Firstly, this is NOT a three-star hotel, maybe a two-star one. It is very worn out, so no amount of cleaning can make it look appealing. Nothing works well: not much hot water and no heating. Secondly, we were put in a basement room with a "view" of the cleaning storage closet and next to the kitchen. At other hotels, such rooms are given at half price with a notification of the conditions, not as full-priced ones. When we asked to change the room the next day, they initially said yes, and then calls were made to some higher-up management who said no, so we insisted, and we got a new room after some calss. This is NOT the fault of the staff but of whoever the management who picks up the phone is. Thirdly, the hotel is next to a bar that has loud music till 4-5am in the morning. The only nice thing about the hotel is closeness to the city center.

We only stayed one night and the restaurant looked good but was closed on Sunday. Excellent location! The hotel was very clean and comfortable. There was noise from a nightclub but we ignored it and slept well.

Its in the center of Oaxaca, but they charge you extra if you pay by card and the parking “available” is 3 blocks away from the hotel… there another parking place 5 meters away from the hotel and they charge you the same as the hotel parking space.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient to a variety of activities.

The good--->The hotel was centrally located. Just minutes away (walking) from Benito Juarez & 20 De Noviembre (Markets) and El Zocalo. The bad--> The beds were hard, like super hard. There is a club/bar really close by and on weekends they close around 5 am. We had a white noise maker and it made it bearable. Price was reasonable, staff was very helpful...all things considered a 3 out of 5 stars.

Terrible place. They do not speak English- as advertised. The location was not as advertised either so couldn’t find the property. Called and the receptionist could not provide sufficient information even with a Spanish speaking person. Had to stay in a different place.

Hotel staff was very kind, but the room was badly located. The club music nearby was extremely loud all through the night until 3-4am. None of our family could sleep, and it was disaster and completely destroyed our plan for the next day.....

Room 14 next to loud music until 3am. They spray you all over with disinfection each time come into hotel. Other than that would rate good.

It is inexpensive, nothing fancy but comfortable and quiet. # minutes to the old town square and about ten minute walk the the huge central market de abastos!!

The property is very outdated. There’s also a nightclub located around the corner that plays very loud music into late hours of the night. I literally had to ask management to turn on the gas every time I wanted to shower otherwise there was no hot water available

I loved the service. The staff at front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. The place had quaint decor and the location was awesome, really close to everything. One thing is room we started at had a night club/bar across the street so it got pretty loud may nights. I think ask in advanced where your room will be. I would stay here again for the price and service.

Me gustaría decir que la estadía fue casi perfecta, sin embargo hubo varias situaciones que no me permiten dar esa calificación. El agua de la regadera tuvimos que pedir que se revisara porque salía muy poca agua al principio, la ajustaron, pero no fue óptima. En una terraza se notaba que habían roto una ventana y no estaba puesta, se veía descuidada. Está junto a un bar el cual tiene música a todo volúmen en las noches y fines de semana. Solo nos pudimos conectar al Wi-Fi al final de la entrega de la habitación. Al principio no nos dieron agua para beber en la habitación, tuvimos que comprar agua para la cafetera. Fuera de eso, tiene muy buena ubicación, se ve recién renovado y mejorado. Las habitaciones son amplias. Tiene casi todas las amenidades dentro de la habitación.

Loved it here ended up staying for 5 nights

The property was fine. Loved that it was 2 blocks from the zocalo. The staff was very helpful. Loved that I could walk down to the lobby and get breakfast. The only complain I have is that they took my personal towel that I brought with me from my room. I mentioned it to the front desk and the cleaning lady but, was never able to get my towel back. Also, the towels the hotel provides aren’t the best. Hence, why I brought my own.
