Seek modern design with large comfortable and quiet rooms. They indicate a bar and restaurant, but it is very minimal. Nice breakfast for a nominal fee.

This hotel is chic and comfortable. The location is walkable to many sites. We found the staff warm and welcoming, very helpful, and we loved the extra touches they provided. Wonderful experience, would definitely stay again.

The staff at the hotel is amazing. They were all very friendly and helpful. At night they were always very aware of who was coming in and out of the hotel. Not that it was in a bad area but I definitely appreciated the attention to their guests safety

We arrived at the Óntico Urban Design Hotel just after 11 PM, walked into the lobby, and found nobody on the property. We thought the desk clerk might be in the bathroom or down the hall, but nobody ever showed up. This was especially surprising because we had called the hotel a few hours earlier to say we missed our connection and would be arriving a few hours late, around 10:30 PM at the earliest. The gentleman who answered the phone told me he would wait for us, but he did not. Twice I called the hotel. I heard the phone ring in the hotel, but nobody answered. It just asked me to leave a message. We considered sleeping in the lobby but they only had chairs and we were worried what would happen to our luggage if someone walked in while we were asleep. After about 10 minutes I called Expedia support and explained the problem. They tried to contact the hotel, but also had no success. I then asked for Expedia to book the other hotel we had booked on Expedia but canceled. They said that hotel was not available, but after calling that hotel we learned they did have availability for 2 nights of our 6-night stay. We arranged to stay at the other hotel over the phone. Turns out the desk clerk left the property without notifying anyone or locking up. They offered to upgrade us to another property, but we already had a non-refundable room for the last 4 nights of our stay we booked on Expedia.

The staff was accommodating and allowed us to access our room early, and also booked our airport taxi for the next day. Only complaint on the room was that I don’t believe it has a safe or the typical mini fridge. Also, the shower drain backed up during my shower, so my wife took her shower in about two inches of undrained water unfortunately.

The room I was given had a very bad odor and the shower only provided cold water.
The second room I was given, smelled better but the shower was only able to provide lukewarm water.

The hotel is located close to the center of the city and very close to many shops and restaurants. Just a few blocks. The staff was amazing, so helpful, and readily available. The rooms were comfortable. Very easy, relaxing place to stay.

I really really appreciated the staff working at this hotel. They were kind, responsive, and hardworking.
The problem was with the facility itself. My partner and I had no water pressure and no hot water for pretty much our entire stay. Other reviews will confirm this. I felt bad for the staff since I could tell this was out of their control, so I direct my feedback to the owners of the property. They should be more proactive about the condition of this hotel. The amount of money paid does not match my experience at all.

It's a really nice hotel a few blocks outside the central area, so it's quiet at night. The lady and gentleman at the front desk were super nice and helpful. There was problem with water, so we only stayed one night and were moved to another hotel.

I had a great time staying at this property. All the staff I interacted with were amazing people. Specifically Alexis, Rodrigo and Myrelli shared lots of information and helped.

Everything is perfect with the hotel, the only thing I believe they need to fix is the noise from the hydro pump that goes on and off continuously and it can wake you up at night (I was in room 201, I believe is not hear everywhere) but other than that loved it

The location was great. It was within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The staff was excellent. They were friendly and very helpful. We loved our stay and are so glad we booked here. We are planning on coming back next year.

I like how helpful and nice the staff was.
I didn't like the fact that their tv channels were not good, they just had a few channels and not the local ones. Also they need to have more light in the room.

This is a nice hotel for the price and in a reasonably nice location near center. Only at night felt a little uncomfortable coming from the more central area because the streets leading to hotel were deserted and not well lit. But this shouldnt distract from the hotel.
The first night it appears that there were bed bugs as we woke up with several itchy bites. I reported this to the front desk. I think they addressed the problem. We stayed 4 nights. The 2nd and 3rd nights were ok but on the 4 night experienced a couple more bite from the bed.

Alejandrina ( I think that's her name) was awesome for allowing me late check out because I had a dentist appt uptown and wasn't sure what time I would return. I was only there for one night, so I couldn't take advantage of the day pass they offered for Piedra de agua hotel to use their pool and facilities. Upon check out, they encouraged constructive criticism so that they may improve which is unheard of at Merida hotels. I say this because I stay at multiple hotels during every visit.
