Hotel need renovation

I had a really good experience with this stay- everything was clean and service was great - rooms could use some updating though- and bathroom was really tiny. But clean.

We had terrible experience at the Intercontinental Vienna - staff and services were pathetic - there were series of lapses including some nasty ones - we won’t recommend this property to anyone - terrible terrible hotel

Nice location, friendly staff and Very accommodating. Only issue was room was a little warm.

The only thing that I must share is the hairdryer is not very appropriate for this type of hotel, it is weak, and it takes forever to dry your hair.

This hotel was probably very good 20 years ago, now it's outdated. Rooms are old, no A/C, breakfast place it's simple. Lobby it's classy, but still outdated. Breakfast Chef was good, very helpful at cleaning his griddle to make eggs for a vegetarian like me.

Bathroom needs renovation

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times and it has its strong and weak elements. Great: service, gym, food, lobby bar. Not so great: room temperature control, black-out blinds and, most importantly, bed comfort. The king is 2 twins with a tangible lip between them, the pillows are really really low/soft and the single comforter not as cosy as it could be. Choose to stay there for its old world charm and elegance and 5-star service. Go elsewhere for sleep comfort.

Good, but it was cold at night

Very old hotel outside and rooms inside needs repairs. It is not 5 stars hotel anymore In my room was not working heating and cleaning was very bad

The property was in poor condition... it needs a lot of investment to upgrade it to a real 5 star hotel. Staff was friendly though.

The property is in a bad condition and needs an upgrade on infrastructure. Wifi wasn't working for one hole day, room needs lots of repairs despite being a club junior suit. I actually was worried to try the spa. In a nutshell it wasnt a good vakuebfor money but staff was friendly and helpful.

Very convenient location. Quiet

The air conditioning was very loud and did not work. It was mild outside and we just could not sleep due to the racket the Air Conditioner was making. The toilet also stank. Rest was good but definitely NOT worth the price.

Need more choices for food

Nice properry great location 15 minute walk from all great restaurants. Rooms are dated. Not bad just dated.

Staff were reasonably helpful. Hotel is in dire need of a renovation - this is not a 5 star hotel, a 3 star at best. Rooms are dated and often grubby. The room we originally booked upon entering we found to be unclean (not hoovered, grubby walls and dirty sheets) the second room we were offered was exactly the same and it was only after the third room we saw was recleaned, we were happy to stay. Rooms also lacked a number of amenities including a toilet brush. Overall we were disappointed with the hotel which is in major need of a refurbishment and a significant improvement in housecleaning.

This hotel is not only a great location to stay at, but the staff is amazing! From the people at the front desk (who will help you with anything from places to visit, explore, where to eat and get reservations, and share the history of the area) to the bellmen (on our first night one walked us to a recommended restaurant so we wouldn't get lost) to the cleaning crew (everything was spotless). No matter who the employee was, everyone was smiling and friendly, and seemed to truly want to help me have the experience of a lifetime at all their winter holiday celebrations. Say Happy St Nicholas Day (Dec 6) and the front desk clerk handed me a large handful of chocolate candy! Everyone went above and beyond to make my holiday stay magical. Plus, the view from my room overlooking the park across the street, covered with snow, looked like a Christmas card scene. My friends had a view of the skating rink. On a scale of 1-10, this hotel and its staff is a 25! As lovely as the hotel was, it was the people who made my trip so special!!!

Excellent Hotel in Vienna. But the price is not expensive than other high class hotel.

Wonderful stay in a great hotel staffed with friendly people. My only concern is that the mechanism to the elevator seemed to make noise when the elevator was engaged. We were in room 921, and the noise was 24 hours. I eventually got used to it—-but perhaps if noise is a concern, ask for a room further from the elevators. Don’t let my one issue keep you from booking this lovely hotel. The outside is deceiving. The inside is elegant and lovely.

The Intercontinental was very nice. Did not have a swimming pool, but the restaurants were very high-quality, very good food and excellent service. My main complaint is that when I went to take a shower, there was someone else’s hair, still stuck to the wall which revealed to me that the room had not been properly cleaned. Also, the pillows for two squashy and soft. I appreciate goose down, but I ended up not sleeping the entire night because the pillows were not firm enough.

A nice park is close the street and shopping areas are walking distance from the park. It is very quiet because the park is providing noise barriers from the busy shopping area.

My wife and I enjoyed the excellent service and the warm atmosphere of the hotel and especially the restaurant and bar. Very responsive staff to any questions we had, and we will definitely return to this hotel if we visit Vienna again.
