Hotel rooms are really dated and showing signs of wear and tear. In this day of age not having usb plugs is ridiculous

Nice and quiet in the hotel.
Easy location for tram into City Centre.

This Hotel is good value for money, and in a good location to get out and about. It is a little tired abd coukd do with refurbishment.

I left a device (kindle) in my room due to rushing to leave and left it on the side table of the bed. This was either thrown away or stolen as it never got handed in, and it took me 6-7 calls for the reception to check with the cleaning staff. Not only that, multiple times I was told I'd be called back with further information and I received no call whatsoever.

Simple basic room.
Nice to have a waterside view
Very good location for transport

Nice hotel staff and breakfast. great location, for city centre and O2 warehouse.

Hotel is showing its age our room was very dated, although bed was clean and comfortable.
Disappointed with breakfast as many items were not available from the buffet when the was still an hour and half of service. My wife fell ill overnight so did not want breakfast however was told they could not refund her.

The foyer and ground floor areas look great. The bedrooms are tired. Mishmash of furniture, filthy carpets and grotty bathrooms. Needs a major upgrade.
Worst issue is not being able to park at 9pm at night. Several cars had parked across the bays therefore taking up 2 spaces. The car park is used by non hotel guests. I booked specifically for safe parking.

Clean and comfortable. Staff pleasant…..too long to wait checking in with only one person on reception and a big queue of people…..bed comfy but room key didn’t work! Three room keys so in the end duty manager has to let us in our room….

After a previous poor experience at the hotel thought I would try again.
It was better, not a lot but that appears to be more by luck than judgement and just dropped lucky with the room.
One thing to highlight they demand a card it is not negotiable and must authorised regardless of any conditions. This is not highlighted anywhere.
This becomes a bigger issue when you book a number of rooms and you wish to check in as they take the main card for all rooms !

TV didnt work and when reported i was told to fix it myself. I was then woke up 3 times during the night due to fire alarms. 3am, 4.30am and then 7.30am to be told it was down to showers in the room setting of the alarms

The hotel is comfortable and clean, staff helpful and polite. The decor and furniture are showing signs of wear and tear, but nothing to detract from a pleasant place to stay. Restaurant is good, with friendly staff and good quality dishes.
It is convenient for Metrolink and for the Lowry theatre (about 6 min journey time by tram, 20 minute walk), Outlet, and Imperial War Museum North. Good value for money.

Hotel fine. But bar staff playing around, new staff not well trained.
But when that is said, would stay there again. We all have new staff 😃 think it was a one off day.

I’d booked the room 4 weeks in advance. On arrival I was told there was no booking. Showing the Hotels.com booking was no use, they needed an email from themselves confirming the booking. Luckily, I had enquired about breakfast when I booked it, so I had a reply from Copthorne stating it was included. So, after a 20 minute wait (after a 6 hour drive), they found my booking - they had recorded it as the following month!
Unfortunately the room had a double bed, not the twin beds I had requested. But by this time it was too late to get sorted as we were now running late.
Final moan is the car park. It is plenty big enough for hotel guests but when Man Utd have a match on, they let non-guests park, for a fee. It was chaos. I had to park my car on the mini roundabout and move it into a space after the match. While waiting to get the room sorted 2 guests came to reception as they needed to get their car out but had been blocked in - the hotel had no way of knowing whether it was by a guest or a football fan.
On the plus side the reception staff was very good, as was the lady sorting breakfast. Breakfast was very good. Room didn’t have any water bottles but did have a fridge (noisy overnight).
It’s convenient for Old Trafford but really gone downhill, have stayed here a few times over the years and this was the worst experience, it’s a shame

One night stay for Man U game! Absolutely perfect Hotel for this. Arrived quite later in day/evening and managed to park OK. Check in nice and easy, rooms are a little dated but absolutly fine for a short stay. My room faced the Quay. Quiet all night. Nice little bar. Absolutely would stay here again

It was OK but I wanted a qiuet evening watching TV after dinner. But the TV wasn't working. No one could fix it and they couldn't move my room ss the hotel was fully booked. The deputy managaress was kind and helpful and embarrassed notto be able to help me further. She gave me a voucher for a couple of drinks in the bar, which was considerate of her.

Booked this hotel as stayed before as it was ok. But this time it was a nightmare
3/4 attempts to get entry to the room as cards didn't work.
TV didn't work spoke with reception and was a straight reply it does work
No hot water for shower or sink
Had to put my wife in another hotel because of the above.
It was a total disaster of a night
To say will i be returning NO is my answer and other may rethink about saying there.
Not even a sorry from reception staff

Very nice bar and lounge at the hotel and staff well presented but our room was very dated. The tv didn't work (we did report but nothing was done) and the only ceiling light flashed for at least 5 minutes when first switched on. We were told we had been given a room with a view, but all we could see were the rooftops of the lower level of the hotel. We did only pay £59 so I suppose you get what you pay for!

I had hoped for a better experience after
reading the reviews and star rating.
As a business user and regular app user first time I have been asked for a security deposit! not on account transactions! with a card payment being held. This was not explained and the staff were dismissive when I asked why the card swipe was required. It was not flagged in the booking summary.
Overall for me it was average and would not rush back especially when requiring security deposits.
Check in / out could have been a swifter process.
Car park appears to be run by a third party this was not made clear at check in, at check in / out staff were not minded to help but check your reg in as they cannot advise.
Parking bays are very tight typical where they have maxed the number of spaces in the area to sound good unfortunately as a result access egress of the vehicle when the car park if full is pain, not to mention getting the bags out.
Breakfast average
Fire alarm, evacuation and no apology from the hotel team, I am sure they get used to it but as a guest a simple apology would have been appreciated.
Bed ok, pillows poor quality.
Well they asked for feedback, the above is a fair summary.

Shambolic and quite unbelievable. I had booked my stay over 1 month before arriving for a twin room. The day before I was sent an early check in-email from the Copthorne which I responded to and received a confirmation number.
At checkin I was told that my booking was found, but there were no rooms remaining in the hotel.
I asked how can this happen when I have 1) a booking reference from 1 month ago and 2) a pre-check in confirmation from the day prior.
The answer was ‘I do not know, but there are no rooms left. Our company need to stop sending pre-checkin messages like this. I dont like them’. . . How helpful to my situation. Not!
No solution came forward so I insisted to the staff speak with a superior. I was travelling with my elderly father for a memorable football game.
A double room was offered after some period of waiting (not sure how it magically appeared), but no offer of two rooms.
The staff asked if I had tried to check-in earlier at the time of football and I said ‘no’. It was then said to me that had I done so, I would have a twin room as it is ‘first come first serve’. How incompetent can a company be to allow a booking, send a pre-checkin and yet prioritise on-the-day walkin customers with no prior booking?
With no alternative I accepted a double room and compensatory breakfast. The toilet had not been flushed in the room which just added to the disgrace of this outdated hotel.

Arrived on a Saturday morning, when United were a 3pm kick off. Plenty of parking which is free for hotel guests. Understandably there was no early check in available. Came back at 2.15pm to find one receptionist dealing with a queue of 7/8 guests. Check in was slow. Management did nothing to help the person on reception.
Room was a good size, but looked like it hadn’t had much re-decoration since it was opened in the late 80s early 90s. Bathroom very dated. Comfortable though and fairly quiet. Great location for the football and just across the road from the tram into town.
3.0
Ok but hearing in room uncontrollable ( radiators) no reading lights in room- simply one lamp! No tv guide that we could find so might prove difficult?
5.0
A little dated but clean and comfortable rooms. Free parking and a few minutes walk to the tram to city centre

Hotel OK, bit tired. Waited at the bar a bit to get a drink.
3.0
The hotel room was dated and needs a refurb. No 3 pin plug socket by the bed. Only one extension lead by the tv. Fire alarm went off during the night (2am) due to a hotel guest leaving the bathroom door open and the steam from the shower setting it off. It definitely disturbed us and we struggled to get back to sleep. On the plus side, the view was great and it was ideal having free parking.

Hotel was ok but tired a dated

A great value hotel in an excellent location out of town but close to tram and bus stops so everything is within easy reach. Hotel was clean great staff and room was accomodating. Good size car park even though didnt use as travelled there by train and used public transport. Great view from room as well over the quay.
Would definitely stay again.
