When we arrived we were told the dining room was closed as it was nearly the end of the season . No breakfast was therefore available although it states there is an onsite restaurant on the website .
There was a private party on the Saturday evening which took over all the reception / lounge area on ground floor and upstairslounge area meaning there was no where that we could sit in the evening . No coffee available in lobby on day of our departure as they hadn’t made any as they were closing that day . We felt we were simply an inconvenience .

Decent hotel, room a smidge musty but ok after window open for a bit. Pretty thin walls, bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper

It’s a great property but our room was in a very noisy area next to the stairwell and the laundry on the ground floor. In addition there was a room above us and really seemed like there were bears in there with all the running around.
Having said that, we already had another 2 night stay booked in a week so I asked to be placed on the second floor.

The delightful woman working at check in was amazing. The staff at breakfast was not. Inattentive and slow to assist. We waited a long time at the hostess stand just to be acknowledged we had arrived. During breakfast we had empty water glasses and they were filled only when we asked for the check. We waited again for an unreasonable amount of time to get our bill. Unimpressed with the wait staff.

It was a good hotel, nice room. Couldn’t give an overall excellent because our room had no view - the window was fogged glass for the obvious reason that we faced a wall!

The entire hotel staff was wonderful, very polite and attentive. Although I was not impressed with the service regarding the restaurant staff. Which I found to be extremely unprofessional and other then our waitress had no idea as to what they were doing.

Hotel was great, lovely room, helpful woman at the desk . Restaurant not so much. Took 20 minutes to get appetizer because they burnt the first one. They comped the second one but it was so salty I could barely eat it. It closed at 9 pm. Couldn’t get another drink to wash the salty taste out of my mouth.

Hotel is over 100 years old… and is well taken care of. We had a great stay and the staff was very good to us.

Great location, but building is old and shabby. I reserved a room with two beds, but they only had a king bed available. No wifi in rooms. No A/C, so you have to open windows and hope nobody on the street comes in at night (not secure).

I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the accommodations were. Just a really nice place to stay with as many amenities as you need in Alaska.

Loved the gathering area, cozy room. comfortable and clean and quiet. Too bad no internet in rooms but really enjoyed the gathering area lounge area.

I highly recommend this hotel for a stopover in Skagway. The rooms are comfortable, the showers are hot with good pressure. The Cafe has good coffee. It was quiet, despite the cruise ship traffic. Coin op laundry available. Wifi only in common areas, but that is not a problem for us. There are lots of historical photos and the building has a nostalgic feel. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Another lovely stay at this property! We were in town to participate in the Independence Day Parade and festivites. Convenient, clean and safe hotel. I wish they would extend the wifi into the rooms, but we just used it in the common areas.

This is an awesome hotel. Appears to be a historic type property, recently updated and renovated. I would definitely stay here again and do recommend to others looking for a convenient place to stay close to everything on the main strip in Skagway.

The listing for this hotel is misleading in that it states that there is free Wifi. What they don’t tell you is that the Wifi is not available in the rooms,
only in the common areas. This is not acceptable for the price we paid and we will not be staying there again or recommending it as well. Also the TV reception was terrible, so blurry it could it hardly be seen at times.

Very nice hotel. Excellent location. Breakfast buffet was good. Friendly staff. Definitely would recommend this hotel. Only negative is they don't offer a late checkout!
