Really good clean hotel. I booked 2 rooms with a colleague who arrived separately but oddly they gave me key card to her room which was a bit embarrassing when I entered the room. I also left my card in the room during the stay and they did the same again and they couldn’t find Me in the system. This was sorted, so a minor inconvenience but I feel needs to be addressed. Apart from that really quiet, clean nice rooms and bar.

Great hotel when away for business right near centre

Hotel was very average. The rooms were a tired and the bathroom needed renovating. Lots of chipped tiles, a yellowing toilet seat and marked walls. The room was small and a little dark but the bed was clean and comfortable. Service was reception was friendly and efficient. Some traffic noise heard throughout the night for the rooms facing the front of the hotel.

Great staff good stay

The hotel felt tired and is in need of an upgrade. Whilst the bed was comfortable, the bathroom is very dated and I did not think the room was the cleanest. For example, there were long hairs and crumbs still on the table and desk. Location wise, the hotel is in a good spot and I was able to walk easily to the train station and shops. For what I needed, the hotel was fine.

We had a very good family room for 3 people unfortunately it was at the front of the hotel on the main road and after a very noisy first night we asked to be changed to a quieter room the hotel immediately obliged and after packing our stuff the hotel staff moved our stuff for us which was very good

Very good location centrally in Plymouth. Walk to the Barbican in a few minutes, or up the Hoe, as well as to the City Center.

Lovely stay but l got lost couple of times as the lift was confusing for me but overall perfect stay

We booked a superior room, but was convinced we were given a standard room by accident. Even queried it and they confirmed the superior rooms get a biscuit and a bottle of water……..I’d suggest just bringing your own and booking a standard as the room was the same size as was the bathroom.
For somewhere convenient to put your head down it’s fine, but aside from the bloody/bar it is in need of a big refurbishment. Rooms are very dated and drab and need a good overhaul.

Clean, comfortable hotel with great breakfast and proximity to the city centre

Poor check in process, not enough on main desk at busiest period, queuing out the door into street.

Stayed at the Plymouth Leonardo Hotel facilitating a medical training course.
The business centre and conference rooms are great and one particular staff member - Scarlett Fraser was brilliant her customer service was outstanding - Thank you Scarlett.

We had a very comfortable stay at Leonardo Hotel in Plymouth. With a short walking distance to the National Marina Aquarium. Very good value and lovely bar meal breakfast.
We were made very welcome.

The bed was rock hard. Had the worst night sleep ever. Booked it as the Leeds hotel was very comfortable and slept great but this hotel must have had different mattresses as it wasn’t anywhere near the same
3.0
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Light come into the room in the morning from an opening that cannot be adjusted by the guests, which makes shutting the curtains completely redundant.
The receptionist was a friendly and polite person, but the hotel system seems extremely slow in processing the check in.
We had a good enough stay.

This is a great place to stay. Conveniently located for the city centre and the Barbican. Quiet with well appointed rooms and friendly staff we are regular visitors.

Leonardo remains what I consider the staple of customer service for a mid range hotel. Great room, helpful staff and good rates

Our stay was great!
Only two moans, our room was so hot & the a/c didn’t work & the breakfast was a disaster!

Ideal location for Uni drop off, standard double room was small but comfortable and very quiet. Lots of restaurants in easy walking distance. Breakfast was tasty but needed to be replenished quicker as guests were queuing waiting for eggs to be brought out. Parking reasonable at £10 and covers you for 24 hours.

Great hotel, comfortable spacious room, great location. Freindly and pleasant staff.

The hotel is great, good value and handy parking nearby. Breakfast was good and plenty of choice, comfy bed and good shower. The only thing we think should be mentioned is the stairwell from the car park up to the exit door needs a good clean.

A quite mixed experience. We had a large, cosy room. But its bathroom, while mostly functional, gave a ramshackle impression. It had no working ventilation, so it stayed wet and steamy hours after showering. Staff at check-in were very friendly. At the bar the standard wines and spirits had run out so they tried selling the pricey stuff. Breakfast was a dud: poor availability of standard cooked breakfast items leading to queuing with impatient guests. The available items ( coffee, scrambled eggs, bread) were of subpar quality. I'm not sure whether I'll stay in a Leonardo again.

Hotel was great , perfect location and room was comfortable. The only things I can say toilet was strong urine smells ! I think they need to clean toilet floors. Otherwise it was a clean room..

I stayed 2 nights - first night at front of hotel & didn’t get a lot of sleep due to noisy traffic - usual revving bikes so moved to back of hotel for second night which was a lot better
Breakfast good only let down by watered down apple juice - overall a good hotel in the centre of Plymouth

Car park lift not working accept that all good

Menu quite limited and service in the bar on the first night could have been much better. I went to collect a takeaway and my glass of wine was removed and other people occupied a small table.

Overall the hotel, was clean and welcoming.
The breakfast was average and on busy days felt over crowded but the breakfast staff every morning was welcoming and food was replenished frequently and checked for temperatures which was pleasing to see high standards being taken. I am not sure they needed to cut mini bread rolls in half though but it seemed only to happen on the busy days. If you want a cooked breakfast every morning then it was worth it.
We ate at the hotel one evening and this was in the bar area. It would have been nice if the resturant had been open for to be able to get an evening meal, however the bar staff especially the young girl whos name i forgot was extremely good. What I would say is the bar staff faced in my view a very rude customer but the young gentleman who had clearly just started his shift dealt with him polite and professionally and did not deserve to be spoken to by the person so rudely, really felt for him, these staff members are a credit to the hotel.
The chef on the first morning made my little ones day by giving him an activity pack at breakfast. It kept him so entertained.
Overall a good mini break stay, with clean rooms and easy access.
