I was shocked upon arrival to find access to the Perkin Hotel was up a severely steep incline and located in a back alley alongside a row of nightclubs and restaurants. Fortunately, however, the guy at the front desk was a big, strong guy and he assisted with all of our luggage. But once we neared the hotel property I was disgusted by the filth, trash, the rats and cockroaches that littered the way to the hotel entrance. The hotel in and of itself was clean, and our room was pleasant enough, with a big, soft, comfortable bed. The main drawback about the room was the loud AC system, which made it difficult to fall and stay asleep. I was also disappointed to learn that there was no onsite restaurant and at one point I needed a spoon but was told that I could not have one, so I had to go down to one just outside the hotel to get one. For the price I paid for this hotel, I expected more and received very little from the staff with exception of the big guy upon my arrival.

Close to metro and walking distance from the best harbour view. Lots of restaurants, bars and shopping in walking distance. No breakfast but you can take muffins, candy , coffe/tee and soda cans for free. Room 1501 on 15 floor was very quiet, and with good space. everything very new and clean. Nice staff in reception.

Don't expect anything more than a cheap large cozy room with a gigantic bed. All day free coffee available on 5th floor.

The hotel room is bigger than i expected. However, the room service i request for is basic bottle opener, wine glasses and a bucket of ice, which they cannot provide and the staff express the hotel is simply a place for rest and they don't have restaurant attached so no above service can provide. In my opinion, it doesn't qualify to be a hotel.

Pro - Close to city / Free limit mini bar & snack bar at reception / Free limit breakfast / Easy check in-out / Cleanliness room / Staff speak English so well. Con - Not a good manner of service I prefer to book room one more night (because of flight cancel) but staff didn't recommend to stay at perkin hotel. They said my online booking is cheap rather than book at front of hotel and he ignore it to help. So i decide to choose another hotel because of him / Hotel located high slope a bit hard for walk to hotel
