The location was convenient to the historical sites that interested me. Only about 20 odd minutes from the airport. It was close to several restaurants and a variety of shopping options

Sometimes water pressure was low and caused issues with flushing toilets.

The property was close to downtown area.

We had three issues with the bathroom. 1. cleanliness of the bathroom 2. water wasn’t draining out of tub/shower 3. water dripped all night on our first night, enough that I heard it all night (I’m a light sleeper). After making calls about issues 2 & 3, they sent up a maintenance man who corrected both issues but he probably spent a total of 2 hours with us on our trip. All he needed was a bag and he would have been part of the family.

had planned on spending time at the Pool but was notified days before our stay that the pool would be closed our whole stay!! very disappointing!!!!!

no service in room for three days. ac broken and loud. sheets were stained . had to beg for towels. no one cleaned room once during stay.

It was a typical Marriott hotel, I was expecting something more boutique-like when listed as Historic Charleston. The location was nice.

This hotel was great. It seems to be recently renovated and everything was very neat and clean. The staff was friendly, receptive, professional and efficient. One of the cleanest, nicest and well-staffed hotels I had stayed post-virus.

central location, less than a five minute walk to the Gaillard Center.

The hotel is in a good location.

The hotel is valet only which many of the hotels in the historic district are. However, I would expect much better service from the valet staff if I am going to pay 37.00 extra dollars for that service. We called down to the front desk multiple times to ask a question about the bistro downstairs and never could get anyone to answer the phone. When we finally did walk down to get our information the lady at the front desk was busy on her personal phone. Unless you have an EXTRA 360.00 on top of what you will pay for the room DO NOT STAY HERE. I have stayed at several hotels in the historic district and yes they put holds for incidentals which is understandable. HOWEVER, i have NEVER had almost 400 extra held on my account. We were in Charleston to do some Christmas shopping and this really was an inconvenience.

the room we booked was next to a room with a barking dog. We chose to change rooms, but had to downgrade. I wouldn’t think a hotel this nice would allow dogs.
