Portland hat ein Obdachlosenproblem, das ‚gelöst‘ wird durch sehr viel Sicherheitspersonal, das Obdachlose aus dem Zentrum vertreibt. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sofort darauf hingewiesen, dass es Obdachlose gäbe, wir aber keine Angst haben müssten. Ein komisches Gefühl bleibt trotzdem, wenn Obdachlose vertrieben werden, damit sich Touristen nicht belästigt fühlen.

Great location, easy to walk around to shops across the square and restaurants. Hotel was very clean, nice, and secure. Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and we had great views of Portland. Kennedy with valet was amazing, he gave us great recommendations, was so kind, and really made us feel welcome.

The only negative was the restaurant in the hotel being closed the night we arrived. We were able to order through the whiskey bar instead, which was great, but the Whiskey Room bartender seemed a little put out by that. The au gratin potatoes that were part of our order were so salty that it was inedible.

No water/soft drinks in vending machines. The bathroom light was very dark, and it was hard to apply makeup.
