Lovely hotel in downtown Columbia. Room was clean and quiet. Nice large bathtub if you're into that. Tiger Hotel is my choice if I feel like splurging.
This is one of Columbia's pricier hotels but with fewer amenities. Valet parking at $18 per night and no complimentary breakfast. Small in-room refrigerator but you have to remove all of the hotel drinks (that they want you to purchase) to use it. Bathtub/shower combo seriously needs a grab bar.

Nice, big, clean suite. Historic building in a great neighborhood in Columbia just next to campus.
I couldn’t get either TV in our suite to work and neither could by 19/20 year old kids who are very adept at that. “No signal” no matter what you changed the input to. There were no pillows and sheets for pull-out sofa bed anywhere in the room so we had to call down for them very late. On a positive note, when we did, they were very prompt and friendly.

Beautiful hotel in downtown Columbia. Looks to have been recently renovated.
Room was large, comfortable. Walking distance to many restaurants, stores, etc.
My wife absolutely LOVED their oversized bathtub - and took full advantage of it.
Hotel staff were helpful, attentive, friendly.
There are only two elevators. They are small. One was out of service. Did not see clearly marked signage for fire exits.

The elevator was very small and very slow.

Location, old world style, comfortable bed, large bathroom.
No free parking, no microwave, poor water pressure, no breakfast offered free or paid, tub is huge but if under 5' tall or unsteady on feet, difficult to climb into (probably 2 + feet high for entry), glass on windows hazy/dirty and unable to see beautiful view. Also one of elevators was broke and we had to use stairs for 8 flights. Also TV didn't work and no instructions in room to use. Talked to front desk and they advised but still didn't work.

very clean, close to nightlife.
small elevators only has 2 and one was broken. seemed to be no rush to get it fixed.

I love the location and the valet parking
The Smell in the Lobby and the transactional greeting upon arrival. I’ve stayed at The Tiger before and had no issue with overpowering smells, but this last visit was troubling. The dizzying powdery smell was like having a baby diaper strapped to my face. My family had the same response. Thankfully, the private rooms and hallways were not doused in whatever smell this was.
I was also surprised by the non-welcoming desk clerk upon arrival. We walked up to the desk with suitcases in hand, not to hear, “Welcome to the Tiger” or “Good afternoon, hope can I help you,” but rather, a flat, “Do you have a reservation?” - not even a simple “Hello.” Not every clerk was this detached, but it was my first impression.

great location and nice facilities
small elevator but that’s the only thing I didn’t like.

I enjoyed the upscale feel from your interior and design architecture. The only customer service part that was on point was the valet gentlemen even though you really didn’t have a choice but to use valet due to parking issues; but of course it was an extra fee!
The room was filthy; I was there for four days, and they did not clean it once. I requested housekeeping to come every day, and the housekeeper missed our room every time. There was Lots of miscommunication with the cleaning crew at the front desk. They were to clean the second I left on day 3, and they had their cleaning cart outside waiting for me to go and still didn’t make it in. I had to ask for new sheets and make the best myself. Black hairs all over everything, and I’m a blonde-haired lady. The only part that was on point was the valet since you really didn’t have a choice but to use them (more money).

Great location for a night in Columbia. Great room with a comfy bed and a beautiful view, although the best feature had to be the tub. It was the perfect way to relax after running around the city all day.
The elevator was slow and creaky and generally not confidence-inspiring

Really disappointed. I was not told about an incidental rate beforehand and then was told at reception it was $75 a room. Which I paid without an issue. Unfortunately 7 working days on and 2 emails I have had no response from them and they have taken over £325 out of my account. Such a shame because the hotel itself and the location is great.

The location was wonderful.
Very uninviting upon entering the room, it was cold and no lights were on to make it seem welcoming. Very poor water pressure. There were several very loud noises throughout the evening, I never could make out what it was.
The coffee shop was not open at 7 am, I would assume that a coffee shop would be open at that hour.
Lastly the elevator was a bit of a nightmare, the signs posted to use your room key to access your floor but that didn’t work and you had to use the open door button to access the floor.

great location, had a great coffee shop, taproom and Glen’s Cafe was excellent.
Hotel had lots of character and old charm. Convenient and inexpensive parking across the street in a parking garage.
Lobby bathroom was not very clean and had no toilet paper or paper towels. The carpets throughout the hotel needed vacuuming.

no towels! called down and they said they had none clean. when they brought some 3 hours later they only brought two. found cleaning lady and got some from her.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff is very friendly. Very calming ambiance as well. I really liked the drinks at the Vault. Everything was great.
The front desk boy forgot and put down our room as occupied, and stupidly gave the same room number to some man. That was unacceptable. On our room we had do not disturb lit up on the outside, but the man entered anyway.

Small elevator, it’s an old building, but the staff use the same elevators so in the am I was crammed in to one with 2 housekeepers and their cleaning supplies.
I found some hairs in the tub and bed.
The ac was on constantly, but never cooled the room below 74.
The keurig hadn’t been cleaned in a while.
