Food was good and very helpful staff

Hotel was quiet rooms were a bit scruffy/dated but it was cheap so can't really complain too much.. breakfast was a bit scared but looked like I was the only guest so didn't expect a massive spread

Lady at reception indicated to us there was no space in the restaurant for food. She told another party the kitchen was closed. Then had to order food from outside and tried to eat it in the hotel while having a drink in the bar area and she told us to go to our Rooms as no outside food allowed. We said it seemed unfair as we couldn’t order food from the hotel she then denied she had ever said this. Asked her for late checkout she never got back to us. Other staff were friendlier. Rooms were dusty, beds were old and uncomfortable, no water in room, nothing nearby to get to without a car, dated decor and no temperature control in room

The bed was awful. You can feel the springs as you lie down. The whole thing is squeaky and if one of you moves, the whole bed does. One of the worst beds I’ve ever slept on. Room is dated, dusty and old. No water provided in the room even though it’s over £100 a night to stay. No temperature control in the room. You cannot order room service, nor can you eat food from outside within the hotel area. You must eat in your room. Listed as 3 star but far from it. Spend that extra money and stay somewhere else.

the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them

a tad noisy on the Saturday night due to an incident with a party goer but this was dealt with well by the staff and apologies were given to us in the morning
