Location was great, clean and tidy, fully functioning kitchen with all you need.

Unfortunately on the Saturday night the pub opposite played very loud music which we found very difficult to sleep with. While I understand this is not a reflection of the property itself it's a sacrifice for the ideal location.

Brilliant location in the middle of the shambles which meant we could pop back easily for meals, loo breaks. Lovely apartment set over 3 floors with a bathroom on the top and bottom floors. Very nicely decorated and comfortable for 6.

Secondary glazing didn't open in the top bedroom. Response from agent was very quick and fans were provided (and required) as it was v hot when we stayed.

Ideal, central location in the heart of it all. Good size bedrooms and living area space.

The noise from pub across the road - love that it was so central but the downside is obviously the noise levels.

Location was excellent. The apartment felt nice and big for a good price.

Needed a little clean. Stains around the floor/door in downstairs bathroom. Found what a believe to be a Christmas ornament on the floor under the sofa so obviously the place hasn’t been deep cleaned. Cold on arrival as previous noted but there’s radiators in all rooms

Fabulous accommodation located in the centre of York, very spacious and clean. The accommodation has everything you would need including board games. Everything is basically on your doorstep. Check-in & check-out was really easy. There are a few steps to get to the property and two of the bedrooms have a flight of stairs, just to bear in mind however we would definitely recommend & stay here again.

The only thing we would comment on really is the noise at night, but it is to be expected being across from a pub that has live bands on Friday nights.

Broken toilet seat

Fantastic location, size of open plan kitchen/living area was excellent. Decor was really nice.

It was FREEZING and no one had bothered to turn the heating on before we arrived. So we were hit by a wave of cold, damp, mildew smell the minute we arrived. With only electric heaters to heat 3 floors of apartment, the open living space never managed to get warm. There were also some pretty fundamental cleaning misses…. 1). were chunks of crumbled mud(?) on the floor in the twin bedroom (we had to hoover before using the use) 2) the bath was peppered with dust and what looked like small bits of plaster - so we didn’t use it 3) when moving the armchair in the living room closer to the heater, we found 20+ nuts littered underneath it 4) very obvious layer of dust on multiple surfaces…hard not to see on black TV stand

Easy to access the property when we arrived. We found it clean and in good condition - there could have been a few more basics like toilet paper; salt & Pepper etc. heating worked well and the rooms and beds were comfortable.

We had a roof leak in the kitchen / dining room and never managed to get hold of anyone during our four day stay - sent numerous unanswered messages on booking.com. Offered a compensatory cash amount when we left but that never materialized. The roads are closed to traffic around the apartment (I think for the Christmas market?) so a bit of a walk with bags and two toddlers.

it was freezing when we arrived and took a while for electric heaters to warm up. also arrived with no hot water had to wait for a contractor to come look. It eventually did come on but feel this should of been checked before any guests arrive.

Location and condition of the let was perfect.

A later check put is always nice.

The early morning bins being emptied at 5.00am and being across from a pub barrels being delivered before 6.00am so no lie in .

Leaky skywindows in lounge/kitchen when raining. Very very uncomfortable beds...particularly the top bedroom. Throw blankets need clean or replace. Dvd player not working in lounge. TV could do with updating.

apartment is looking a little tired, although generally clean it needs a deep clean of carpets and surfaces.

Leak in the kitchen glass roof mattresses very uncomfortable/springs stick in your back, squeak every time you turn. (all beds) no mattress protectors

The location could not have been better. We loved the size of the properly and the large kitchen/living area was great for our group!

There weren’t any wine glasses. We bought 4 and left them as didn’t want to drink wine from Prosecco glasses. And the bed on the top floor was so creaky! Every time you moved it was so loud. We only had one person sleeping in that bed but it would have been a nightmare if there were two!

shower didn't get hot. dusty everywhere , roof leaked . bin had no lid. hadn't had a proper clean.

This was in the absolute center of The Shambles. a lovely surprise as to how central it was.

Being in the center of town, it was load late at night and early evening.

Location was great and everything was easy to hand. All that was needed was in the apartment and everything was spotless

the beds were comfy, facilities were good bathrooms and kitchen were nice

no air con, no sound proof windows when the pubs were open till 3am no black out curtains with lights straight outside the window it was very clean hot water didn’t last long even with boost

Superb for walking around York and quite near to the station. Can easily go to other places such as Scarborough. The Apartment was furnished very nicely and had washing machine, freezer, fridge and many other useful add-ons.

The only problem was that it was quite noisy in the evening and early morning. This is not surprising as the apartment is right in the centre of a city with shops, pubs, etc.

The property hosts were fantastic. Communication was clear, and they were extremely responsive and went out of their way to meet your needs. The location is probably the best you can book in York - the major sites were just a few blocks away. The apartment was decorated attractively, with consideration given to any miscellaneous needs guests might have.

The mattresses and pillows were on the thinner side, so anyone with back issues may have issues with the beds. There is no air conditioning, which wouldn't be too problematic if you could keep the windows open. But the tavern across the street can get noisy in the wee hours of the night, so you can't keep the windows open and have a restful night's sleep. Providing fans in each bedroom would alleviate this issue - they would not only allow guests to keep the windows closed, but the noise from the fans would also create some white noise to drown out some of the late-night revelry from the street below.

Amazing city centre location, very central to everything. Living area and kitchen was spacious and bedrooms were comfy. Easy contact-free check in. We were on a hen do and so was perfect for us.

Hot water needed a boost before all guest could, not a major issue unless you are tight on time. Is across from a pub which was noisy but was fine after around 12.30/1am, just don't expect an early night.
