brill place to stay, Mark was very good host,you be hard to find a better location .house was very clean .a nice touch was the fact he left milk in fridge and a large chocolate cake.lots of tea bags and coffee as we all know you want a cuppa when you arrive .

only problem was the stairs as we had a 1 year old with us ,but we managed well .only to be expected with a four storey house built in 1770.one baby stair gate left at house might be a good idea.

This lovely house could not be in a better location. A short walk to everywhere & despite being minutes from the Minster was quiet & secluded. Mark was a great host & very attentive. We loved the house & the little welcome touches. A really unique experience staying in a beautiful listed property. Lovely bedding, modern bathrooms and plenty of room for 4 of us and all of our bits & pieces. Highly recommended!

Great location, great host, great!

Mark met us at the property, helped us unload, showed us around the property and then took me to the gated parking. The location was fabulous with the view of the Minster just outside the door. Shopping, restaurants and pubs/bars just around the corner! We would happily stay again as it was like a home from home.

If you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you as it is set over 4 floors.

The location was fantastic

we have just returned from a lovely weekend at precentors court. The house was beautiful, it was central and stocked with everything you could possibly need!

its a self catering home and we had everything we needed and more to make our stay perfect. Mark when with us to park the car and drive us back to his house. I requested a card and wine for my husband 60th birthday and it was there on arrival along with a birthday cake and bubbly, he went beyond what i expected. 5 STARS

Perfect stay. If you are in a group going to York, book here. Incredible location 100m from the Minster. Great cosy space. Everything you could need while you’re there. And Mark couldn’t be more helpful. Absolutely ideal.

Bring earbuds if you want to sleep past 8am when the bells start!

Superb property in a magnificent location. The house was lovely and warm and set up perfectly for our family visit. Considering the property location is so close to the Minster, the road in which it is situated is incredibly quiet. The property owner, Mark, was very attentive and his communication was exceptional. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be booking again.

The house is amazing! Location for exploring York is second to none! We were there to run the Yorkshire Marathon/10miler but wanted to be in the centre for pre and post days. The decor is lovely. Warm and cosy. We spent our first night in our PJ’s, in the living room watching TV and snacking and it was brilliant. Felt really at home. The place and the host are outstanding and this will be our “go to” choice for any future trips to York. Simply the best!!

Perfect location so central yet tucked away in a quiet street. Spacious rooms all well equipped with home comforts - hubby and brother-in-law especially liked the PS4! However, the best thing was the communication and welcome from Mark - really helpful and kind. Highly recommend a stay here !!!

Everything. The house the location were wonderful. The house is really big. It's got everything you need. Plus Mark the owner was and is fantastic 👏👌😀. He was really really helpful. A really lovely kind man.
