I don't know if we stayed here or at a different house because they had problems with plumbing.

reviews are purely ones perspective. we hate the tourist trap hotel district so we stayed here at the real Cancún it’s run well and has parking for your rental car in the garage you just need to ask for the key. it’s everything you need for a safe comfortable stay. I suggest google street viewing the place before you go - it was super easy to find doing this ahead of time based on other reviews. If you are laid back practical and don’t get spooked of real culture then stay here! we felt 100% safe! Chris and Devi from Vancouver Canada

The apartment was clean, quiet and relaxing. It's situated in a local district of Cancun but still close to many good restaurants. There's an excellent communal kitchen where you can cook your own meals. The manager of the property is very nice.

There was no hot water in the shower. But this is only a very minor issue as cold showers were fine.

The hosts were very helpful. The owner speaks English. Excellent written information and map in room of local area, shops, restaurants etc. Also good information about buses. I eat at the seafood restaurant a 10 minute walk away twice as was so good. I caught the collectivo taxi then bus to the hotel area. The first collectivo did not stop but second one did, waited about 20 minutes. Room very pleasant and clean. Useful shared kitchen. Also laundry sink and line. Thank you

Casa Ana can only reliably be found using the given GPS coordinates.. Google gets totally confused otherwise. It DOES seem to be listed by name if you do a Google Search, however... It's clean and orderly with locked front entrance and rooms. #2 had the biggest bed I have ever seen. But the property exists on a run down poorly lit side street that some thought 'unsafe' however I saw young families living here and children outside. It's a few hundred feet from a main drag so out of sight of police patrols, just FYI

The communication was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was something wrong with my room so they organized another accommodation for me without extra charge. The accommodation was very close to the bus station which was great. The room was clean and quiet.

There was a water leak in the bathroom by the sink. Some of the water dripped all the way out of the bathroom to the Hallway.

The host was very nice and friendly. She mostly spoke Spanish but spoke a little English and with my own broken Spanish we were able to communicate pretty well. She was helpful in giving recommendations on things to do and how to get places from where we were. The rooms were very basic but clean and did the job.

The location was not great at all. I should have known this at booking but I had read reviews and people hadn't really mentioned it as a huge problem. I knew it was not in the hotel district, but upon getting to the location, our taxi driver was telling us how dangerous the location was and to not walk around at night (or at all really), and to be extremely cautious. One night we were in bed when we thought we heard rapid gunfire going off nearby which further cemented our thoughts about the safety of the area. Getting to any of the touristy locations took at least a 20 minute car ride and honestly the price we paid for transportation probably was about equal to what we would have spent had we just stayed in the hotel zone. Because of this we ended up leaving early to go to a better location.

We tried to arrange transportation from and to the airport with the hotel and they never answered our messages :(. It felt very impersonal also when we were there.

Price very reasonable. Decent bed. Great owner. Location was ok too, I just walked from the ADO bus station and wasn't very long at all going past mini market where they sold tourist items etc. It is in residential area so completely separate to any tourist area. All

Not much to not like, if really nitpicking then the shower only gave heat in bursts so would go away and return again. But compared to other showers I used in Mexico it was much better!

It’s a nice place to stay for couple of days, public transport is close to the house and by two buses you can reach all the playas. The host was extremely helpful and responsive! You can have breakfast and coffee for a small price, there is a kitchen at the property to prepare anything. After many years of traveling, the first quiet place at night which is very rare in Mexico!

Comfy bed. Nice space. Great communication prior and during our stay. Nice towels as well. Having the plus to have shampoo and shower gel available in the room.

It was a bit tricky to have hot water in the shower.

The receptionist/ owner of the place was extremely nice and always there for questions and if you needed help. The room and common areas are clean. The area is pretty quiet.

The area around the hotel does not seem safe. However, you can use Uber to get there. There was just cold water coming out of the shower.
