Gorgeous environment, simple but totally suitable accommodations, really lovely and attentive staff.
The bedrooms were quite tight, but it's all about the outdoors here anyhow, no need to be hanging out in bed.

These Casas are just amazing, a two minute walk to the beach. Waves can be heard at an ear shot and gives a calming effect. The shower is great and the beds are very confortable aswell. Easy access to the National Parks. To top it all off, "Nicole" the Casa Viva manager was adorable, she is helpful, has great ideas of where to go and what to do and she is just a call away. I would definitely stay at the Casa Viva again. Thank you Nicole (…give Gloriana my best, she was a terrific

Lugar en plena naturaleza, la cabaña queda abierta pues no hay cristales en las ventanas, se escucha el mar y también a los animales. El personal es súper agradable y amigable.
Las instalaciones, cama, baño, estancia todo genial .

It was our first time on the Carribean coast of CR. In my opinion this is the best place you can find in CR generally. Nicest wooden house in just 50 meters from such a beach. Impeccable place multiplied by a super service and attention we were paid by the staff and personally by a co-owner Luis! We would certainly like to return to this place!
It has nothing to do with the place we stayed. But beware the monkeys! Not right at this beach but going futher down to more secluded places. It seems they have stolen my phone and glasses. Dont leave the shiny things unattended!

wonderful!!! Loved every second of our stay! great location 50m next to Punta Uva beach, with magnificent garden (and many animals in it!), clean, comfortable and well maintained houses, very helpful staff - basically all you need for a proper vacation. fantastic value for money, we loved it!!!

The property was beautiful, the staff was friendly & helpful and the bungalow was amazing!
There was nothing I didn’t like about the stay.

Beutiful location in a "secret" djungle garden close to the ocean. The luxury feeling of the bungalow and the fantastic local staff!
Kitchen equipment could have been better. We cooked breakfast as there were not restaurants close. It is important to know that there are few restaurants within walking distance but there are bikes that you can hire cheap

A lovely place! Rooms was big enough and comfortable. The surroundings are just amazing, you’re in the middle of rainforest. You’ll see and hear wild monkeys, birds, sloths and other animals. There’s a beach access just few steps away. There are bikes and kayaks for rental. Owner and staff are super helpful. Big recommendation!

EVERYTHING!!!!
From the moment we drove through the gates we were in a jungle paradise.
The staff was always there to help and the beach was only a short 3-minute walk from our cabin.
We saw so many creatures and the food in the area was unbelievable.
Can't wait to come back and would recommend it to everyone. Thank you to Nicole and the Staff for making our stay so amazing.
That we have to leave.

The location on punta uva beach was extraordinary. the surrounding jungle was gorgeous. Somehow there weren’t that many mosquitoes. the staff was super helpful with recommendations.
I wish they would’ve had breakfast included. The price was high for what you get.

Nice room. Good size and comfortable bed. included coffee maker, small toaster oven, dishes, cups, silverware and small refrigerator.
No AC. Fans are not enough.

Spacey bungalows in a big wonderful jungle garden. You are directly at the beach front surrounded by nature. Many animals and insects of Costa Rica can be seen on the property itself, including monkeys, sloths, agouti, different birds, and many more. No need to buy drinking water as it is provided by the lodge as well as a coffee machine, a toaster and a fridge. On the balcony there is a table with chairs and a hummock. The car can be parked directly near your bungalow. On arrival you get all the information about the property and the neighborhood and the service answers any questions and fulfills wishes in a timely fashion. A possibility to rent kayaks and bicycles for a good price comes very handy. One of the best restaurants in the region is two hundred meters from the property.
Mattresses were a bit hard

Complete privacy, cleanliness, we saw monkeys, a sloth, all kinds of birds, butterflies and numerous other animals as well as plants from the wrap around porch. Shout out to Luis for all he did as well as Francisco (our go-to guy for everything) and our housekeepers. It’s not fancy but it’s gorgeous!
The only thing we didn’t like was leaving!

Beautiful garden on the Caribbean. Louis and rest of staff very friendly andhelpful about suggestions for activities and restaurants. Local flora and fauna to be seen right there on property. Well maintained. Towns have a laid back "hippie" surf, earth, wildlife preservation vibe. Lots of vegan options.
Leaving for home.

We loved Casa Viva and enjoyed our week relaxing at the beach. We rented bikes to get around and explore and we were really well looked after. Thank you Luis.

Sleeping while hearing the waves from the Ocean was amazing! Perfect location, lonely beach just in Front of the bungalow!

Casa Viva was simply spectacular—like being cast away on a deserted beach, but with all the amenities you could ever want. Even more elegant than the pictures imply, with all the access to relaxation or adventure you could ask for. Nicole was beyond friendly and helpful, and provided local advice and assistance for activities. Simply perfect all around. I want to tell everyone, but I also want to keep the secret. :)
This is not really a complaint, but if they had an onsite bar or restaurant, we'd have no reason to leave. :) Of course, that might make the location less private. So we really have no problems / issues, and several places are walking distance.

We loved the bungalow at Casa Viva. Having access to such an amazing beach was a great asset. Punta Uva is just south of the crowded Puerto Viejo, which gave us a more of a secluded feel to our trip . The hotel gives many recommendations for restaurants and activities. We hope to go back sometime soon!
The beach and home and Lola the property dog who we love!

Beautiful private lodge in the middle of a pretty big property located in the middle of the jungle close to playa Uva. Everything is very well maintained, very peaceful, lush plants and trees surround the lodge and we can hear the cries of parrots, birds and howler monkeys from time to time. The lodges are located 3 minutes walk from a private beach close to Playa Uva. We had an amazing stay, we will definitely come back to this lodge for a longer stay next time.

We stayed at one of the studios in the cabin right next to the beach. we couldn’t see the ocean, but fell asleep to the sound of the crashing waves - so wonderful! You wake up to the sounds of birds and howling monkeys. No bugs even with windows open all night.
The location is perfect.
Staff is very helpful and friendly. The owner Luis was very attentive to all our needs. He recommended some really great places to eat (please do go to Pura Gula!)
Our unit didn’t have AC and it would get a bit toasty in the evening, since we came during a heatwave. But it would cool off at night, so it was not a big problem.
Noisy neighbors in the cabin next to us, which really has little to do with the property, but rather with manners and being considerate.
Maybe guests should be reminded upon checking in that they are out in the open and everyone can hear them having loud sex and talking on the phone at 1am.
