Cute house. Very clean and all the amenities of home. Only drawback was the upstairs bedroom setup you had to go through one of the bedrooms to get to another bedroom. Loved the disco hallway though!

Suited our family children ages 7 to 18. Could walk to State Park Perfect back yard for grilling setting up fire pit for evening conversations and making s'mores. Lower level's kitchenette, exit to patio advantageous for our evening grilling and also entrance when returning from the beach. Washer and Dryer off kitchenette. Well stocked with linens, kitchen utensils. Location of bedrooms allowed privacy for adults and children and table in kitchen and also dining room excellent for varied schedules of eating. Our family is growing but hoping to rent this house next summer and also a 3/4 bedroom in same location.

This home was a wonderful get-away! We had 8 people in our group with many family and friends joining us during the day. The house was more than accommodating for all of us. I could see larger families with kids enjoying this home. The "Disco Hall" would be great for kids! Also, the upstairs bedrooms were perfect for getting some naps in without the noise from crowds downstairs.
The basement bar/living area with a walk out to the patio was perfect. Most of our time was spent there entertaining our guests. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing meals, etc. The front porch/deck was perfect for morning coffee and viewing the lake.
The hosts were very responsive and friendly.
I would highly recommend this home for your future escapes!

We enjoyed our stay as we were in town for a family wedding. The property was clean and well-appointed. It had a lot of character and the decor was lovely. The only thing we could have used was an ironing board and iron as we needed to press some items for the wedding. Also, the coffee pot (Kuerig) was malfunctioning and bursting the pods, getting grounds on the counter and in your cup of coffee. As we were all coffee drinkers, this was a little disappointing. Otherwise, everything was great and as described in the listing.

My brother and I came from southen illinois with our spouses for a family reunion in Klemme. This fun house was great for all the kids. We had a total of 8 children between my brother and I (13, 11, 10, 9, 4, 3, 2 and 2 week old baby) and they loved all the fun accommodations to the house. We never heard they where bored. Would recommend for big families! House had a wonderful story. Would had loved to learn more about the houses history. Thanks so much for sharing your home with our families over the weekend, we truly appreciate it.

This place was a dream. It was super cute and cozy. Tons of vibe. And also tons of space. Bedrooms and beds everywhere so everyone had a place to sleep. Beds were fantastic. Kitchen was great. Game room was fun. And a couple different cozy places to hang and connect. This place is tops. We just loved it.

The house was super clean and had tons of space. The disco ball hallway was a favorite (nice touch :)). Firepit, nice back yard, lots of games, foosball, etc. Close to public beach area and a short drive to downtown. Hosts were very accommodating and easy to work with. We all had a great time!

We were in Clear Lake for a family reunion. The accommodations were perfect for the 13 of us staying there. There were many little touches that made it feel like home away from home. The only thing I would say is that the stairs might be difficult for an elderly person. We loved it and would definitely recommend it!!!

A great family home for making memories with great conversations. The beach is walking distance and neighbors have a joy to meet. Lots of space to enjoy time to yourself after playing games or talking around the fire.

We had the privilege to stay in this house for a family getaway. The owners thought of so many things to include for our stay. They have lawn chairs, corn hole boards, pack and play, etc. The house is conveniently located a short walk from the beach and the provided wagon and stroller helped us haul what we needed. The front deck and backyard were great gathering places for meals and games. The laundry allowed us to freshen up our suits and towels for another day at the beach and was handy for baby items that needed washing. Our granddaughters sure enjoyed the disco hallway. When the jet ski battery needed changing, tools were quickly delivered. We really enjoyed our time together in a place that was cozy and clean with ample room to come together as a family.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. The location was perfect for us as we could just walk to the beach with the kids and also a few parks that were within walking distance as well.
We had 6 adults and 3 children that stayed here so it was especially wonderful having 3 bathrooms and also lots of beds to choose from.
The home is well equipped with everything you will need. We had a great stay and would definitely go back.

We had ages 9-65, and eveyone had a wonderful time! The house was amazing and we all loved the hidden passages in the upstairs! All the decorations were cute and it was a beautiful, comfortable home with all amenities! We brought 2 boats and were able to park them in the driveway and on street. Nice ramp to put in and park just a few miles up the road ( Off Crane). Will definitely try and stay here again!!!

Wonderful and welcoming home in Clear Lake Iowa! All the right touches to accommodate adults and children! Outdoor toys for the little ones, lots of beach toys and even a cooler for trips to the beach, patio for all to gather for barbeques while watching the kids play in the large back yard. Perfect!

This house has all the amenities you would need to cook and entertain! Everything clean and fresh! High quality beds and linens! Lots of room for socializing and gatherings with two rooms that have x-large sofas and big screens for watching football games!
Nice touch of decorations for the holidays to make it feel extra homey!

We had a large group of 8 adults and 5 children - all of us in town for a family wedding. Lots of people to get "fancied" up. The three bathrooms and on-demand water heater made it so simple! Some rentals are rather sterile with an atmosphere like a hotel....this felt like staying with family. It was so homey and comfortable. Every need we may have had was taken care of. Communication with the hosts was great. I would recommend this home to all of my family and best friends, so you know it was great!

Celebrated our moms 91st birthday. There was 10 of us. Excellent beds and sleeping arrangements. Very clean, beautiful. An older home with its own neat personality. If you are looking for a place for a family get away don't pass this home up.

We had 8 ladies in our group that just finished a class reunion so thought we'd extend it and stay in this great house. It easily accommodated all of us, very clean, great location and a nice deck to seat us outside. Thanks for the extra chairs! We had some siblings visit and they both thought the house was perfect. Sara was very responsive to my texts and easy to work with. Great time with my friends!

We were very pleased with this clean, quaint home. The little ones loved all the secret passages! It’s close to a beach and park and only a short drive to downtown and a boat ramp. It ended up being a chilly weekend so we were able to use the fire ring each evening.

We had 14 adults staying at this location. It was a good size for us for a weekend stay. Plenty of space to hang out. Enjoyed the backyard for cook outs and yard games. Close walk to the beach. House is clean and well equipped with things you’ll need for your stay.

We had plenty of options for sleeping as extended family gathered. We could walk to the beach to play during the day but also used the basement and walk out for our larger meal together. The younger ones loved exploring the home with its variety of spaces and little passageways. The space worked out great for our group and would recommend the home and friendly, accommodating host!

This was an older home that has been nicely refurbished . It was clean in a good neighborhood and close to a beach for the kids . The people were easy to deal with and friendly that own the property . We enjoyed our stay . Thank You home owners

It has a lot of nice features but let me discuss three issues we had: the house has a musty smell. Air freshener just made it worse. Secondly, by the property description, I thought the property had lake access - after all it was just a few steps away. While the State park beach is in walking distance, it is 1/3 mile. A lot for little children. Finally, the queen mattresses have seen better days, sagging in the middle. Now the good parts: lots of cool hidden passages, a nice walkout basement (and we loved the foosball table) and nice kitchen.
