The front desk was covered with Plexiglass which surprised me for the area. The clerk was difficult to understand due to her accent and the glass blocking the sound. During check in, she took a personal call and walked away from the desk. When she returned she was still on her phone and I had to ask her to stop her call and finish with us first. The whole place smelled like smoke including the room. The AC worked but was very noisy. The beds were comfortable and generally clean aside from one stain on the sheet which was so obvious I can’t understand why they’d put them on the bed. The shower could have been a bit cleaner but good water pressure and hot water. This place covers the basics if that’s all you need. Not surprised it was the only hotel that still had rooms available so close to an event weekend.

Do NOT stay here, rooms were disgusting and filthy dirty! Pulled the sheets down after getting into the room and there was crumbs, coins and big crusty stain on the sheets. They defiantly did not clean the room after the previous stay! We immediately took our room key back down and checked out and found somewhere else to stay for the night. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!

Convenient location. Basically only cereal, toast, with only butter as topping & waffles. for breakfast. Very dirty & smelled terrible. I have stayed here before & it was not like this. Sadly will not return.

The room was not cleaned well. It was dusty and the carpet was not vacuumed.

No coffee in room. Clean, but the mattress clearly needed to be replaced. Not enough parking. Unfriendly staff. One room key for 2 people. Won't stay here again.

as i walked into my room the first time the biggest painting/picture fell off the wall. i had hotel cleaning let themselves into my room the first morning as a wake up, the key stopped working and got be locked out of my room, they front desk lady was constantly lounging around but acted annoyed when i spoke to her at all. they also had family running around the main entrance and one of the older men watched me the whole i was going to my car. the room looked like it had been picked up but not cleaned. i'd say it's good for a night of sleep but you'll get woken up. i'd say it's good for a bed but the sheets were stained, my blanket for a nonsmoking room was burnt multiple times over.

The staff was good they got room set up we had walking distance to the restaurant motel very quiet which is a plus for us

The service was fine. friendly and quick check in. I came in late so I pretty much just went to sleep. I never even opened a curtain. The room was fine. the mattress was considerably harder than I like, but that is really my only criticism.

I am a custodian supervisor at ISU so i see everything. My first impression was not good.As soon as I walked in the floors werent vacuumed in the hall, or in my room which waa a smoking room that smelled like an ashtray it was awful.Ashes under the desk still and on the bathroom floor. I had to buy carpet fresheners and air fresheners. The bed wasnt clean, the pillows so flat they need to be thrown and new one bought. Hand prints on the headboard. The tv guide was written on so much you couldnt tell what channels you got. This isnt the nicest hotel but could be so much better with someone that cared and took pride in their work.

This property is in need of maintenance and updating.

I give it a 5-star rating based on that it's a 2-star hotel. It doesn't claim otherwise, so it wouldn't be right to do it in comparison to other hotels in the variety or star ratings.. That said, I've stayed at ABVI that were absolute dumps, whereas this hotel was definitely respectable - and at such a great price!... I'd recommend it for sure, if you're looking to save a buck.... for sure!

The carpets were very dirty. The bathroom shower had black in crevices indicating mold.

Reasonable price in an older motel.

Gross rooms (we tried two different ones) that reeked of urine. Trying to mitigate that with the a/c unit only made it worse as the air coming from that smelled like a dead animal. The place is sketchy and the front desk guy was just trying to push the hotel’s interest, not ours.

Bedbugs! Found out the hard way what bedbugs were. I was there for a week and my bedsheets were never changed out.

The night manager was extremely rude.
