Love the Capitol! I’ve stayed in most all hotels in St.John’s and this one always feels the cleanest and most comfortable. Mattresses are hit or miss- some appear to be newer than others for firmness/plushness, but all of them surpass many other hotels in the area.

The check-in staff were lovely!
The halls and elevators were very neat, outside of the room there's a nice peaceful ambience.
When you open the door to your room ,ours was 411, the furniture was worn and basic which is fine for the price we paid. Note our toilet are very low as well on the plus side it was clean and fresh.
Unfortunately due to an event in town the hotel was full to capacity so a change was not possible. We were advised we were being given an upgrade to a king bed but suspect it was due to the need for our two double beds.
Upon entering the room the air conditioning sounded like Jet Plane engines, with no option to move rooms we had to endure the noise.
I would still recommend this hotel if you're looking for a clean cost effective option of a place to stay.

The staff were efficient in checking in and out quickly. They were friendly and helpful when our keycards stopped working. Jacks has good food and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and spacious. Have a room facing traffic you could hear it, but overall the room was quiet.

Great place to stay , little housekeeping available. Asked cleaning lady for clean towels, she told me to call front desk. Had to wait for them to arrive.

Rooms on 2 different stays had old-smoky/musty smell. Bathroom is dated.

Our one night stay was comfortable and the room was sufficiently clean, with comfy king bed. My only issue is the low toilet because of my recent knee replacement but that’s my issue. The main floor handicap toilet was helpful! We would come away again!

The breakfast in the restaurant was amazing!
We stayed for 5 nights and they only serviced our room once after 3 nights, so that was pretty poor (they said they would come after 2 nights but didn't).
The AC units are old and super noisy.
Beds were very comfortable.
The bar had zero snacks, and there were several dirty unoccupied tables when we entered.
