This hotel is old, not renovated and probably has the standards of a 3* hotel with the price of a 4/5*.
The service is just not available for anything you need from a hotel.
This is a motel. Don’t expect more despite the price of a regular good hotel.

Super pleasant little oasis in the middle of Palo Alto. The hotel has been well maintained and updated, and the gardens are beautiful. Our room and bed were really comfortable and had all the amenities we needed.

My husband and I stayed here last week and we were so pleasantly surprised by this unexpected little oasis of a hotel. It is almost as if you are transported to a tropical destination. The grounds were beautiful, the room was spacious, clean, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay.
I also have to mention that the food at the restaurant was delicious. We went back for breakfast because dinner was wonderful (we got an appetizer and two salads). Everything was fresh and flavorful.
The staff were super friendly and attentive. For a budget hotel, we had an outstanding stay.

The hotel was close to the venue which was great. The bed was like sleeping on plywood. It was the most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept on. For the price i paid 375.00 a nignt i would think the beds would be comfortable.

I booked a suite and it was VERY reasonable. Very big and was able to open two sliders, which made me very happy for fresh air and natural cooling. Electric car chargers. Walmart, Safeway and target within a mile. Seems to be a bus that goes down street to Stanford University but check on that. Steakhouse next door. Was very pleased.

The rooms were spacious and quiet and were well maintained. The garden environment of the hotel is like an Oasis in a more commercial area. It is now our number pick when staying in Palo Alto.

The hotel grounds were exquisite with the koy ponds and gardens! The room was very nice, we stayed in a Lanai with the koy pond right outside our window which was very relaxing to hear the water splashing from the movement of the fountains. The problem with our stay was the bed was terrible and the pillows were right there with the bed ‘terrible’! The property owners need to upgrade the beds and the pillows then I would rate this a 4.9 almost 5 star place to stay! Check your room for the bed and pillows before booking your stay here!

The spaciousness of the rooms and the presence of a beautiful fish pond right outside the sliding doors were highly appreciated. The cleanliness and comfort of the beds were also commendable.

We enjoyed our stay, room was large, very clean and close to where we needed to be.Also appreciated that they honoured our request to be on a higher floor. Staff were very kind and accommodating.
Only comments would be and both are personal - coffee provided was undrinkable as it tasted very bitter. Rooms were a little outdated (1970’s brown and golds) however note that in both cases it would not be a deal breaker for us to stay again. Very nice😎

This hotel was rated 9.8 Excellent on Hotels.com. This is the second time from Hotels.com Ive been burnt on a hotel. This particular hotel is our of date, The hotel is under a lot of trees with water fountains all around the hotel rooms are musty and smell bad. The furniture is out dated and beat. I had to battle allergies from the must and mold.

1. Jacuzzi type tub to high off the floor. Could not step over tub edge to shower.
2. No senior discount offered. --- Very sad.
3. No T.V. pay to view moves offered.
Other than this, very nice lodging. I would book again.

It accommodated several family groups for a large gathering. Nice to group many at the same hotel. Pool restaurant was a nice venue for impromptu visiting/eating/gathering. Unfortunately the restaurant staff was snarky.

The lack of grass in the area makes very difficult for you to stay here with a dog that requires grassy areas. I appreciate the dog park they have a promises …but doesn’t have grass as it once did. Totally disappointing experience.
