Have to write about several things during this stay at Doubletree by Hilton.
The outrageous fees experienced this time will certainly be the biggest reason we wont stay here again. The other reasons are- tv did not work, mold in shower, sink plugged, crackers by bed.
I understand I cant always get a harbourview but its nice to be upgraded when asked.
To be charged $50 for a pet fee and $15 for parking per day is outrageous in my opinion. This was the first time I was charged for my pet here, and i was not expecting it! No dog bed, no pet treats, no bowls. They advertise warm cookies- never received upon check in. Just overall very disappointing stay this time!

Good hotel with rooms overlooking the busy harbour in St John's. Comfortable bed, very clean, noisy air conditioning unit. Small but modern gym. Convenient location close to city centre. Restaurant food is good and service very friendly, but the included/ optional breakfast is very limited 'order only', no buffet. One choice allowed with rather odd charges for 'normal' extras, extra charge for toast or fruit!! They need to sort this out because it spoils an otherwise good experience.

Was a lovely room, could have joined rooms if needed. The other room noise did travel through the walls pretty easy where the rooms joined ; chatting tv etc.
View was lovely and when we checked in we got warm cookies! They were the best cookies ever and they were warm :)

We had a wonderful stay. The view was amazing and the staff were above average. However, the extra charge for parking was unexpected and unnecessary. This brought down your rating for me. It wasn’t the cost that upset me, it was not being told up front about it. I’ve never before had a separate charge for parking.

Hotel location is great. good view of the harbor from my room on 4th floor. Front desk staff and Little Sparo restaurant folks were very good, especially the bartender, Igor. food at Sparo was very good. room service was extermely fast! the restaurant staff failed to get my breakfast dishes (outside my room) for more than 24 hrs and the hotel staff was unable to get a couple with a incessantly barking dog to stop for the first 24 hrs

Nice property. Great views of the harbour from the rooms. The Little Spark restaurant is a really nice place to eat. Great views while eating. Staff are nice and helpful.

It's an excellent place to stay Staff is extremely friendly especially Scott at the front desk always asking how was your day. The rooms are well maintain by the cleaning staff. Close to transit bus stop to get to the Avon Mall. Easy to walk around to view many beautiful parts of the city. I would recommend this place for anyone to stay.

The hotel was convenient until you arrived.If you parked on the wrong level you had to climb stairs to the elevator. The check-in was less than welkoming and checkout was not much better.
There are no warnings visible for restaurant times of service
The room was clean but there was no place to sit except on the beds and one very uncomfortable chair from the 1950's.That is NOT acceptable in a room for 2 people.
The beds were ok but the noise from the docks was not and when you can hear workers on the dock swearing at 7AM it is less than relaxing.

I mistakenly booked for 4 nights when I needed 5. Staff were very helpful and were able to secure me the 5th night in the same room. Very thankful for there kindness,

The bar staff (forgot the names of the two ladies)...but they are a credit to your hotel. Friendly, attentive, and made me feel at home. Wonderful experience all around.

Very nice and clean, modern, reasonable coin laundry on site. Very convenient and close to many amenities. Only gripe is that the Delta offers complimentary parking and this similarly priced and similar amenity hotel does not. $15/night to keep the car in the parkade seems a touch steep.

Very nice rooms, however the elevators and common areas where pretty rough. Very expensive stay but expected as it was on the harbor, biggest downfall was no free breakfast which I was shocked with a thousand dollar stay for 3 nights
