Staying at this property for the first time in Cancun is a good option, it’s a convenient spot to get to the city or to the hotel zone. The hotel does offer 3 free meals a day plus drinks/ bar food. One drawback from this hotel is that they make you go to a concierge to reserve for the evening dinner here is where they trap you and force you to go to an offsite breakfast where they will try everything in their power to sell you tours to other areas like Isla Mujeres or Chichén and so on, by all means avoid this, reserve the meal but don’t agree to anything else. These people try and try to get you to buy things for them. The resort is clean, multiple pools and easy access to the beach. The rooms were clean and they do daily room service. The food is not the best but saves you from buying a few meals. The gym shows lack of maintenance and the machines are either broken or dirty. Over all it’s a good spot just avoid all the con man’s trying to sell you the world at supposed discounts.

Bad service

The staff was friendly but I was not a fan of the property. I'd recommend investing in remodeling. We were in a room that had a patio facing the karaoke/live music area that goes till 10pm. It was SO LOUD. We booked excursions for early in the morning so trying to sleep with that going on was awful. Our front door was next to housekeeping/maintenance so the mornings we were able to sleep in, we couldn't because you could hear everything from the front door. If you need a plunger for the toilet, you have to call maintenance. The food is okay but if you're a foody, you have better luck eating out. It's an affordable option if you just need to sleep but the beds are hard so you may wake up with body aches.

Needs major renovations. Room wasn't the cleanest. Resort overall needs a makeover. Food options weren't that good. Pool staff and guest services were nice though.

I’ve never once left a resort after paying for it. Went and stayed at another resort after spending 4 hours here (for the same price). It was dirty, the food was absolutely horrendous, and the liquor tasted like pure rubbing alcohol and gasoline. The beach area is very limited.

It was a nice small hotel by the beach. Had a great time there.

I will be very clear and to the point for other ppl traveling to this resort so they know exactly what it is and not what they read because it is false information on Expedia and I’m only allowed so many words to type: NOT 5 restaurants, food was horrible barley ate in 4 days we was there. No open bar passed 11 and it is all well drinks. Bar does not open till 12:30 in the afternoon. There are times you can’t get any food at all you have to leave the resort and go 10-15 down in a taxi to get anything. No other beaches are walking distance the strip we was on was nasty bay ocean water. Pools were not cleaned. Rooms were damaged very old. Lobby is open so you get nothing but hot air it smells like sewer. We barely made it through 4 nights I was super disappointed all inclusive there is absolutely false and so are the pictures! The convenient store fyi has nothing in it it’s a small and definitely not convenient. Best part of the stay was the cruise and jet skies and when the pool was clean. I was starving every day my husband and I went for our anniversary won’t be back.

We will not be coming back to this resort. Master shower would get backed up with water, second room no electricity, servers horrible customer service & very rude, rest rooms smelled so bad and not to mention the hallway to get to the room, pool next to the bar had so much hair in the water the first two days, food was cold and every day it was literally the same food. We will not be coming back to this resort for sure beyond disappointed.

Entertainer and staff amazing

The staff, check in process and over stay was great but it would have been a 10/10 if there were better food options.

We stayed here 10 nights August 9-19 and were worried about the reviews but we had an awesome time. We weren’t at the resort the whole time we went to playa Akumal one day Isla Mujures a couple Playa del Carmen one day XCARET one day Catamaran ride one day. But we had a couple of all day resort days. The staff was really attentive shoutout to Gabriella? Buffet staff. Alexi the bartender was hooking it up on the mecheladas and cervesas and Giovani the entertainment was excellent at the pool.

The rooms are a bit dated but for the price, the quality of service we received was GREAT!!!!! We went here with our 2 children who are both under 2. We were treated well and our kids had a great time. In addition, Alejandro (the bartender) and countless others were very kind. The food was good about 85% of the time and we will be returning.

Like the place

I had a great time at Cancun Bay, all the staff is very helpful with quick turnarounds, it may not be too luxury but it’s a complete pleasure for us staying there.

Went without power multiple times in the room , multiple days of left over food from previous nights. All in all would not reccommend.

The property was great, the service was average, the communication between the employees are not clear, there are no 5 restaurants the food was average too they menu doesn’t have many options. But overall it was fun.

Didn’t like food

I have been to this property many times and this time was not the greatest they cut out the early check in so if you arrive early they make you wait until they give you a wristband at 12:00 or 3:00 they decide. The rooms are falling apart. Staff at dinning area are staring at you eating and at the moment your talking and not eating they trying to take your plate to get you out Very uncomfortable. Pool towel return is super crazy you have to be at the front desk with all the towels and change them your self and must have a key card On a brighter note the bell boy is very helpful. Pool activities are very accommodating to families and so much fun love the pool staff. Front desk was very nice as well.

The concierge service is the worst!! They don´t have the customer service attitude to help your guests, rather, they make you solve their problems even if you are on vacation. They just want all easy for them, and do not worry about the reception of their guests, specially if they are Mexican. This was the worst experience I have had and I would never return because of this.

This hotel does not represent what Expedia explains on this site of this property. The shower in the bathroom are horrible and do not work. The food is limited and does not have much to pick from in reference to having several restaurants in which they only have one or two. The reception staff is not really friendly or informative.
