Very bad room quality, broken shower, no wayer pressure. Very loud hard to sleep.

The rooms are old, a terrible smell of dampness, the air conditioner barely works. The children's activities operate during very limited hours, and if, for example, the reception says that the zipline is open at 10am, it does not open at all until the evening. The big slides in the water park also operate at certain hours. You cannot enter the area for toddlers in the kids club.

Check in was good the guy explained everything we would need to know during our stay. Employees were friendly but some were a little aggressive to try to get you to purchase other things. Room was beautiful besides the a/c started leaking and left a puddle of water in the room (called guest service & the issue was fixed immediately). All the amenities were just as described. Breakfast was 3 out of 10, lunch was a 5 out of 10, dinner was 10/10 in any restaurant. Drinks were GREAT!!! Getting a taxi was easy and checkout was easy. I don't think I will return.

Customer service varies on the staff member you spoke with.
It was very hot and food was just okay.

They pressure visitors to buy promotions and they target women with children

Staff was friendly and helpful. The pool needed to be cleaned more frequently and the dinning wait times were very long. A lot of locals frequently the hotel, which is great but when dinner time comes it’s first come first served, meaning you’re waiting an hour to get a seat.
Over all the experience was average. Food was very well prepared. 5 stars to the chefs.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and comfortable. There was a fairly diverse selection of food depending on the restaurant you chose.
Information on the website, states Plaza La Isla is a 13 min walk. It is over 3 miles. I cannot run that fast.
The Big Ben steak was tough.
The bright lights on the balcony did not allow us to enjoy the jacuzzi in the evening.

I've visited Cancun numerous times, staying at various resorts, but I've never had an experience as disappointing as this one. The property photos are misleading, as they were taken when the hotel was new, many years ago. In reality, the hotel is outdated, poorly maintained, and lacks basic amenities. The main dining area has no air conditioning, making it uncomfortable, and the ongoing renovations is chaotic.
The concierge staff is more focused on pushing time-share sales than providing genuine assistance. Several restaurants were closed during my stay, and the food quality was subpar. To top it off, I spotted a cockroach in the dining area. The gym is also in poor condition, with only a few old, smelly machines available.
If you have the means to spend a bit more, I strongly recommend avoiding this resort.

Room service is limited, never answers, no air conditioning on lobby and restaurants, terrible experience. Do not go to this hotel. It is supposed to be all inclusive but so many things are limited and you will be cooked everywhere other than the room.

Hotel with opened air lobby and corridors but in summer time in Aug, it's hot every where around at daytimes. I got a nice smooth checked in with front desk, the lady at counter next to checked in tried to talk a bout infinity services and offered a free breakfast with them, i guessed they wanted to sell packages at resort, but wasted time after flights every one tired, don't like to hear or staying at lobby for marketing... Nice clean room as reserved but temperature was hot, i called and some one showed up to adjust and fixed but was not enough cool, just ok for the room but in bulk beds for my kids or bathroom was hot all times during my staying. Pool is nice and clean, buffet restaurant is ok not bad, steak in restaurant was not good at all, drinks are ok, there is a coffee and ice cream break incase the other restaurants closed 4-6pm, ocean front with chairs and umbrellas of hotel provided, the beaches are beautiful and clean water but not good for kids, adults must be with them all times because of deep and high waves. About 20 mins from airport to hotel, big mall about 15 mins drive, 40 mins to ferry for Isla Mujeres to enjoy more clean water beaches without waves. The staffs are very nice, theater with shows for kids every days, water zone, kids club with Mexican restaurant tacos open at noon was the best if compare with the others in this hotel, Hotel about 3* but i'll give them 4* for a nice staffs and clean hotel over all was good trip with my family.

The experience was horrible. We found 3 cockroaches when pulling the bunk bed. Then we found cockroaches at every meal- breakfast buffet, sushi restaurant, at dinner. There were flies standing on the salad bar and when we complained about the cockroaches they justified it saying they had pest control and that was just a part of Cancun.
The silverware was dirty often, the floors were dirty with food (not cleaned often enough) and there are lots of deteriorated things - walls, elevators, rusted doors. Just poor maintenance in general.
Customer service was so bad. I’ve gone to Mexico multiple times and they tend to have GREAT service and very courteous people. Servers were not nice, often talked back when we complained, had a bad attitude and weren’t helpful.

The biggest downfall of staying here is that you can’t walk through the lobby or talk to a concierge about excursions without being pressured into hearing a sales pitch for their Luxury Travel Club. My husband and I caved in exchange for a discounted excursion. First they have a very friendly rep treat you to breakfast at their “exclusive” lighthouse restaurant at the hotel. (This restaurant supposedly only allows infinity members to have breakfast in it while normal guests of the all inclusive resort have to use the non-airconditioned buffet restaurant) Then they give you a tour of the two largest and most luxurious suites at the top level of the hotel and take you to the “VIP area” where the real pitch was given to us by a large man-child who vigorously scribbled things that didn’t even make sense on a giant pad of paper while explaining this travel agency-type website they were selling access to. Once I realized what they were trying to sell me was just another version of Expedia with promises of exclusive last minute deals to fancy penthouse suites, and I would have to commit to anywhere between a 10-30 year long subscription they pretty much lost me. But I thought, well I guess if this is like a $20 per month subscription I might consider it… but then they threw numbers that didn’t even make sense for what they were offering - a down payment of over $14000 on top of close to $1000 monthly for 3 years for 10 years of access. Find my full review for more. Avoid the pitch.

This hotel is falling apart quite literally. There is no AC anywhere except for the rooms, so you will be HOT, the room we barely were able to get under 25 celsius (77 Fahrenheit). There was multiple cockroaches in the dining room of the buffet. The rooms are old, musty and dirty. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone in good conscience. The furniture around the hotel is very old and smells musty, and the pools are all very dirty. This hotel was not worth the $400 we paid for one night. The only saving grace is the beach, but that is it. Everything else here is really disappointing.

This hotel is far to what it was a few years ago. No A/C in common areas including the buffet, horrible! Lobby being repaired…many changes, not for good, including kids areas and food areas. Pool area, very poor service. Never again, I won’t waste my time and money again. You guys should know that to sell a place that is not ready will give you bad reputation, I feel I pay to be uncomfortable. Honestly, I did not enjoyed. Should write more, I feel next time I’ll try different, Expedia should do better about their customers, customer service is important. I just burned a week of my time and my money, and I already wrote about while I was in the hotel and no one asked me more. Improve that, cause at the end this is business and you are not doing it well. Send someone to that hotel and see the conditions, before people start asking you for refunds, I should have mine!

I was so scared of coming here reading the most recent reviews. It was our first vacation with our 2.5, years old and I didn't want to have a bad experience. We stayed at Seadust from July 31 to August 4.
First of all, if you don't have kids, don't come here. It is a family resort, so if you want luxurious vacations, go somewhere else. It's also not a 5 star hotel but for the price we paid, I think the price was fair for what we got out of it.
We stayed in a family room with bunk beds. Our son loved it and it gave us privacy once he was sleeping. The AC was working fine, but we also kept the curtains closed during the day to avoid the sun heating up the room. We did find one small cockroach the first day, but that was it. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower was not moldy.
The food was great. Lots of kid options, always fresh fruits, vegetables, Mexican dishes, seafood, meat and bread. The desserts were ok but my son loved them. We went to the Big Ben restaurant on Friday night because the buffet was closed, and the food was better quality. The restaurants have a kid menu so if your child is picky like ours, at least they can have chicken nuggets. The restaurants all have AC.
The hotel is hot. The buffet is also very hot with just fans, but you get used to it after a few times. I mean you're in Cancun during summer, so you can expect to sweat a bit, but it's fine. We didn't see any coachroaches at the buffet and trust me, I looked for it because it was o

There was no AC in most places (like the buffet)
And not a lot of options for breakfast. There was only a buffet and one more restaurant.
The food at the buffet was not the best, the pancakes were hard and not tasty. The wait at dinner time was almost 2 hours every night and we had to wait in areas with no AC.

Very good property the view is amazing the beach a bit rough but it’s a unique experience

I liked that it was close to the airport. Beaches were beautiful but the waves were too harsh to even enjoy. The entire lobby and hotel was hot, renovating all day and night. We saw a few roaches in the buffet dining area which completely made me lose my appetite the entire time after that lol. Don’t cut off your hotel bracelet or they will charge you $200. Other than that, won’t return
Pros:
—staff was nice and accommodating
— close to airport

Every thing was perfect, we had a lot of fun, I would only recomend to install stairs on the main pool, that step to get in or out the pool is to high for elderly people

Very disappointed in my stay at this resort. I called 1 week prior to verify if they had AC because I was reading reviews saying that there was no AC. Receptionist on the phone said reviews were not telling the truth. Got there, and there was only AC in hotel room and SOME restaurants. Whole resort was HOT. Food was not good at the buffet or any restaurants. Saw several roaches at the buffet. Several waiters ignored us, took 15-20 mins to be greeted and when finally greeted, it was rudely. In my opinion, not a place to go if you’re a person of color. Best part of the resort was the ocean view.

Checkin and checkout was easy. They had everything arranged ahead of time. After this everything went down hill.
If you are a POC- person of color, do not come here. Most of the staff and guests are very disrespectful and treated us as if we did not exist. Traveled with a family of 27, so I know you see us.
There’s no AC in the dining hall, elevators or main area. It’s sweltering.
The food is terrible.Good news is you can Uber to near by restaurants. We didn’t know this until the last day. Buffet has roaches(not outside roaches , light brown )and without AC it’s very difficult to eat in the heat. Only decent food is the sandwich place , room service and Italian restaurant. We ate fruit most days because everything was so nasty . A totally disappointment.
The building is rundown and overused. Or AC is our room was not blowing cold. It was humid even when we lowered the temp . The room is old.
The kids area is barely hanging on. The only thing to do is go to the pool or beach. Excursions even while booked at the resort are overpriced and will still require you to go off the resort (except parasailing) .
Overall for the price we paid I expected much more and better quality . Even the kids said it . The negative reviews are accurate. There are much better places on the same strip.
I didn’t book this place a travel agent did and they should be fired. Terrible . Not ever would I go back to this place or recommend anyone to this place . RUN!!!
-5 Stars if I could .

Property was under construction. Not only did it ruin the look but it was also noisy

Surprisingly good food options at the buffet! Mexican restaurant didn't work at its full, only for tacos. We had an unpleasant surprise with repairs at the main lobby which did cause some inconvenience not only esthetically, but functionally as well, since neither gym, nor spa worked normally due to this construction. Had an oceanfront room, AC didn't work, the hotel tried to fix it with a portable AC unit, however, it still was an inconvenience at a certain level. Overall, good service and very nice people.

Very family friendly with lots of options of things kids can do. The AC in some rooms needs improvement.

Overall I enjoyed the resort. The scenery was lovely, staff friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed the food options. The pools were kept clean, and there were lots of activities daily to keep the kids occupied.
What I didn’t enjoy was the lack of ac in the elevator; it was very uncomfortable, especially when there were up to 10 people in the elevator, which was necessary - you had to take it when it came because it could be several minutes before it came again.
The ac in the bedrooms also wasn’t great; no matter what it was set to it did not get under 24 degrees.
Overall, we enjoyed our vacation and thank the staff for all they did to make that happen!

I loved everything. I think the bunk beds could use more ventilation. My daughter would wake up sweating some nights.

This place may look nice but it’s beyond that. This place does not have working AC so it is extremely hot all day and night! The staff will harass you trying to sell you photoshoot trips to swim with dolphins etc if you do their VIP breakfast which they will tell you to bring you Credit cards and or money! They do not take no for an answer very well!
This place smell nasty! No hot water to shower in and last but not least this place is infested with roaches!! They’re on dinning table wall floors ice machines!! Everywhere!!
