Dreadful service from reflection rude dreadful room

Very convenient to ever thing

I was unable to order room service as the app wasn’t loading. When I called to order via phone I wasn’t given clear confirmation that the order was placed. We waited around for 1.30hrs for our food in the end. I also wanted a coffee to takeaway from the cafe down stairs. When I approached the counter at 0800 on a Sunday morning I was told they weren’t doing coffee & I was offered no explanation or apology which I found very strange.

Good size suite, nice fitout. Proper minibar! So much better than the post COVID standard that now exists in many premium hotels where the shelves are empty and you have to order.

It was our 20th wedding Anniversary and qe got delivered nice bottle of champagne and chocolates with water to our room with a lovely card . Very nice touch.

When i first rang around 3pm prior to checking in at 6pm it took 3 times to get through to reception First 2 times phone rang out no vojce message Nesrly took an hrvto finally to talk to someone I asked about parki g They clearly ssid parking was free and if amy additional was $55 I think they shoukd listen to our voice recoding conversation As when i went to check in they told me it was gojng to cost additional $55 to park Airconditioning was horrible turned it down to 18 degrees and still couldnt sleep as too hot Put my hands up to the vents and seemed to me they were hardly working Toilet - no toilet brush Balcony - no privacy literally so close to other balconies you can hear what everyone is saying Would never stay their again

Staying at Rydges was a delightful experience - easy check in & our room was ready early & allowed a later check out. The room was cosy & bed really comfortable. We stopped in for cocktails at the pool bar in the evening which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Due to surrounding road works very difficult to get to the property. Their new IT system is not functioning properly resulting in a 1 hour wait for room service meal to arrive and it was cold. Took 45 minutes to get my valet parked vehicle up to reception
