Decor and condition of the room was a lot better than last time and great the little toiletries etc. But to have a Tea/coffee tray with 1 kettle unable to be switched on at the wall because it was behind the immovable wardrobe and another that didn't seem to fit the charging plate that was plugged in next to the bed... Would also help to have a means of getting drinking water either bottled and available to purchase or option for a carafe of tap water. Always had to remember to get some while I was out.

It was run down,but it is being renovated at the moment.I feel sure once all renovations are completed,it will come into its own!

Good price, poor cleanliness, work in progress hotel. Towels were moist when we entered the room, stains on bedding and tap had intermittent hot water.

I couldn't find a working shower, and it sometimes it wasn't clear which were bathrooms and which were bedrooms so I think I disturbed someone! My room was small, but comfy and I slept well, but it also smelt of smoke and there was no bedside light at all.

For a ‘basic’ one night stay not worth the money and respectfully argue have stayed in Hostel Dormitory accommodation that was way better for less.

Hotel clearly on the up, but not there yet. Couple in charge really making in roads but room needed “finished” - bedside tables & hairdryer would see it increase its rating I think, also accessibility- would have been much better on my arthritic knee if I hadn’t needed to climb ( or more importantly descend) so many stairs both in and outside

Very unpleasant property – staff non-existent, the whole place felt ramshackle and dangerous. The only compensating factor was the good showering facility. Will definitely be avoiding in future and would recommend against this property in all circumstances.

Absolutely disgusting. The whole place was run down, dirty, the grounds outside are dilapidated, overgrown and broken. The place inside smells fusty, unclean and grimy. The room was abismal, undecorated, wardrobe door was half hanging off. There was 1 toilet and shower shared between 12+ rooms which was not stated on the booking confirmation. There was mould on the table and draws. The carpets throughout have clearly never been cleaned. Patch work everywhere. In the toilet there was a used plaster on the floor. There were brown marks on the bedding. When I was checking in, another couple turned up at the same time, the person on reception started trying to check us both in at the same time… This place is more like a hostel than a hotel and even then that’s giving the place more character than it deserves. 10 minutes after being shown my room, I had booked a hotel else where and left, there was no way I was staying there any longer and I certainly wasn’t sleeping there.

Room is not clean. Very dirty. Beds are not comfortable. Bathroom isn’t clean. Blocked sink. Way to the room is very dark. And not clean.

We drove up the big hill to the hotel which was lovely and the room was basic but clean and had a great bathroom- no one bothered us at all and they had a swing outside which really made it for us as we are smokers. Thoroughly recommend and will be back
