I come down here to stay at the Berkman because it’s close to the Mayo Clinic and it’s convenient for me. Any questions I have. They are so eager to help me. I feel very welcome there.

The Berkman Hotel is my other home. So, comfortable!!

Our stay was great overall. One issue was receiving a message from the property manager right before we checked in for a quick overnight stay, was that he needed access to our room for an inspection that they were doing on the rooms. A minor inconvenience when it is scheduled to happen before you are to checkout. Otherwise the property is very nice and clean. Communication and helpfulness of front desk staff- wonderful!

We came for an outpatient surgery at Mayo hospital across the street. We did have a few issues working with the television remote control which were partially addressed. The did not have the tea and cookies in the room as promised. They don’t put decaffeinated coffee in the room, we went to the front desk for some the first night, he said he’d bring some up. They did not bring any, we called the next morning and it was brought right up with apologies.
The bed was advertised as pillow top with premium bedding, it was a very uncomfortable platform bed, and no extra blankets in the room. The kitchen is extremely well appointed with everything necessary. Nice to have a washer and dryer in the room as well. There was only one comfortable chair to relax and watch television and there were two adults in the room. We really did enjoy the fact that the rooms were so soundproofed. The housekeeper forgot to clean under the kitchen island and we found cough drop wrappers underneath it.

They are working out a few sound issues (as the property is newly renovated). If you're sensitive to sounds ask the concierge for assistance. The concierge proactively addressed the issue and moved /upgraded my room. For this reason I'm giving an overall 5 stars, without that customer service the HVAC sound would have reduced my rating to a 3 (or less).

We had a short stay, but the convenience to walking across the street to the Mayo Hospital was definitely a bonus. Everything you need is right there, a restaurant or a few groceries from the pantry to cook yourself in the full kitchen! Very nice place, we highly recommend!

The Berkman is a very elegant property with a lot of amenities. Great for family stays, but the Berkman also offers a lot of business services. Wonderful friendly and helpful 24-hour staff. I have stayed at the Berkman many times and it’s always been a good experience.

Very nice and clean accommodations. Nice place to relax between appointments at Mayo clinic. Energy and environmentally conscious building. Shuttle service was prompt and reliable. Will definitely stay here again.
