CHECK-IN DETAILS/WELCOME PACKET:
The welcome packet with all of the check-in details including home address, keypad code, wifi details, etc. is sent out at 9am THE MORNING OF YOUR ARRIVAL directly in the VRBO message thread used for booking.
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests have access to the entire home (with the exception of a locked storage room above the carport), parking in the driveway for numerous vehicles or boat/RV parking, and the backyard.
GUEST COMMUNICATION:
Guests need to reach out through the VRBO message thread for all communication unless in case of dire emergency.
OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE:
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Your safety and comfort are our priority. In the unlikely event of a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER FOR CHARLESTON COUNTY during your stay, rest assured that both the Owner/Host and the Property Management Company WILL REFUND 100% OF YOUR PAYMENTS for the dates of evacuation. Once refunded, neither party will have further liability regarding your Reservation.
Please note that ONLY MANDATORY EVACUATIONS WILL QUALIFY FOR REFUNDS OR ALTERATIONS. No other travel disruptions due to weather, whether in South Carolina or other states, are eligible. For protection, we recommend travel insurance, especially in high-risk months like hurricane season (June through November). Airbnb's insurance or other options are recommended.
INSECTS
As Charleston is situated in a warm, coastal climate it is possible to see insects inside or outside of the home at times. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who reside in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects. FINDING AN INSECT IS NOT CAUSE FOR A REFUND.
EARLY CHECK-IN/LUGGAGE STORAGE
Early check-ins cannot be guaranteed and will only be allowed once the property has been fully cleaned and inspected. If an early check-in is requested, we will do our best to have it ready prior to 4pm but under no circumstances should guests plan to arrive before receiving an early check-in message, nor should they continue to ask for updates.
Additionally, luggage storage nor any access to the property is offered prior to check-in. If luggage storage is needed we recommend Charleston Bag Valet.
LATE CHECKOUTS
Guests can request a late checkout at least 24 hours before their departure, but depending on the arrival/cleaning schedule for that day, there is no guarantee a late checkout can be accommodated.
Any guests requiring early check-ins or late checkouts are welcome to reserve an extra day to ensure their needs are met.
STAIRS
This is a two story home, with two of the bedrooms/bathrooms on the second floor. Guests must be able to climb stairs to use those two bedrooms.
CRIB/PACK N' PLAY
There is a mini crib with mattress always left at the home. A pack n' play can also be provided upon request only.
SUPPLIES
All reservations are equipped with at least one towel/washcloth per guest, one hand towel per bathroom, three rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, 3 trash bags, 3 dishwasher pods, and 3 laundry pods. If any supplies run out mid-stay, guests are responsible to provide any additional supplies needed for the remainder of their trip.
LANDSCAPING
Landscaping is scheduled around every two weeks and not on an exact schedule so there is a chance that you may see the landscapers on the property during your stay either mowing the lawn or tending to/watering the plants out front.
HOUSE RULES:
QUIET HOURS
We kindly ask that you respect our neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum during quiet hours from 10pm to 8am. Any violations will result in noise complaints being called in and possible removal from the property.
PARTIES/EVENTS/ADDITIONAL GUESTS
There are to be no parties/events or additional guests not listed on your reservation. Any violations are subject to removal from the property without a refund.
DECORATING
Use painters tape for event decorations to avoid damages and do not use any glitter or other similar decorative items that are difficult to clean. Damages due to tape removal or decorations needing additional cleaning will incur a $500 repainting/cleaning fee or potentially more if the damage is severe.
SMOKING/DRUG USE
There is to be no smoking/vaping anywhere indoors or any drug use on the property. Any evidence that guests have smoked indoors will incur a $500 fine. All guests are responsible for disposing of any cigarette butts properly as there are not to be left anywhere outside.
PET POLICY
Unfortunately, this is not a pet friendly property. Any unauthorized pets will be subject to a $500 fine and cancellation of the reservation without a refund.
PLUMBING
Only toilet paper is to be flushed in toilets (no flushable wipes, feminine hygiene products, paper towels, etc.). Any plumbing clogs due to items other than toilet paper being flushed will be charged to the guest.
