the food is great and the view from the hotel room

facility is old, some services are self service.

The hotel staff provided great hospitality. Upon arrival, there was a staff helping us to carry all the baggages to our room. There was one night we're coming back late which was over the dinner time, the staff were kind enough to serve us the dinner after 8.30p.m. There was also one morning which we not manage to go for breakfast before 9:00a.m. (breakfast closure time). There was one staff called to our room and asked us to come as soon as possible and waited us to finish our breakfast. We met one staff who able to speak English quite fluent here. He was an exchange student to Barcelona last time. He provided great service. Overall, the food served here was satisfactory, especially the Japanese traditional type of food. Sashimi considered fresh and the desserts were nice.

We would like to try Ryokan and Onsen, also to view the Mt. Fuji, that's why we chosen hotel nearby Mt. Fuji. The price we paid for was not the most expensive among hotels nearby but not cheap too. We're a little bit disssapointed that we're unable to view Mt. Fuji from this hotel. Cleanliness of this hotel was our greatest concern. We found out that the toilet of our Ryoken was with urine smell and we requested an immediate cleaning. However, suspected the urine stain was on the toilet wall because the staff cleaned the toilet bowl and did spraying but the smell was still there. We went to have a look on their kids playground and public bathrooms. Seriously the condition was not satisfactory. We saw some mold and stain on the ceiling/ wall. We don't feel comfortable trying their public bathrooms. We felt that the condition of this hotel requires an upgrage/ renovation.
