I like that this hotel is really close to the areas I need to access. The beds are always comfortable and having toiletries in the bathroom is always a plus.

This specific stay was not the best. I have stayed at this hotel multiple times, but this time was the worst. The room was clearly not cleaned well. There was a flaming hot cheeto on the floor in the main room, random stuff on the ground in the bathroom, and the shower curtain looked as if someone puked on it recently and was badly stained. There is no mini fridge in the room (which I was aware of) but it still is a benefit that isn't available unless requested. My room also had no TV remote. We had to call the FD for one. I'm not sure if the TV has a cast system or is a SMART TV in some way, but it didn't appear to be. Also, the breakfast listed in all the Booking.com communication says 7:00AM only to find at the hotel it is 8:00AM. That is pretty late for business travelers and I was very disappointed as I planned my mornings around that.

The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Our room was so comfy and spacious.

Location, staff, cleanliness

No mini fridge or microwave in the room which turned into a major inconvenience while traveling with a small child. We couldn’t switch our original reservation so had to cancel the booking and reschedule a different way.

I liked how flexible the staff was. From the moment my husband arrived to set up the room, the valet assisted him with unloading and patient with the delay in time, during a hectic time in the day. I personally enjoyed how nice and accommodating the staff was for me. I misread the checkout time and they didn’t fret about it. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly too. Although I was the only customer, the environment was very intimate.

The location. My GPS had me all over the underground that I had to keep restarting it. I don’t even know why it took me underground, maybe it was because of where I was coming from. I think there is another location with the same name because I reserved a parking spot 14 minutes in walking distance from the hotel. Because it was cold we had to order an Uber. It probably wouldn’t have been an issue if it was the summer time. The hotel is in a tight spot but it was definitely a gem.

Gorgeous Rooms with city views. Beautiful decorated. Also, very clean. The food in the restaurant was amazing - and the staff made breakfast worth going to each day as they were so friendly and welcoming. Did I mention how good the food is?!

The staff was very welcoming. Restaurant was convenient and service was top notch. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was excellent! Close to all major eateries and shopping.

Great location, just watch out for the non-stop fire engines at the station just a block away. Would be a problem for light sleepers. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Very clean throughout. Restaurant was pretty good too. Didn’t have breakfast as there are numerous places nearby.

Paid extra for a room with a “city view”, did not have one. My friend didn’t pay and had a stellar view, I oversaw a parking garage. Was given a room with disability access, and I am not. Because of this there were zero chairs in the room, had to go to my friend’s room to sit down and chill. The heating was constantly on and could not be turned off, it’s a central control that controls all the rooms together and not individual ones, so no chance to turn it down. Fire engines blaring at least 3 times in the late night/early morning.

Sobe su stare I dotrajale.Kupatilo nema normalna vrata nego klizna koja se ne mogu zatvoriti .Hotel naplacuje dodatni depozit od 100$ dnevno mada to ne pise u ponudi.Pored ovoga dorucak vam je ogranicen na 25 $ po osobi u restoranu npr 2 jaja sa malo slanine su 22$ pa plus peciva plus kava sok odnosno sve se posebno naplacuje a prilikom rezervacije nisu pisala ogranicenja za dorucak nego da je uključen u cenu.Bazen je pristojan ali voda je hladna iako piše da je grijana. Prilikom placanja platili smo veći iznos nego što je smo dobili račun. Žaliti smo se recepcionarki al nista od toga..Samo je rekla zvace vas Menadzer koji se nije javio.Suma svega nikada više ovaj hote.

No microwave in room

Everytime I come to Chicago I go to The Royal Sonesta Hotels. There are 2, and I have stayed at both. Location and Luxury for a good price. Also, the food at the hotel restaurants is incredibly good. Staff amazing, pool on the top roof nice. Thank you Sonesta.

The minibars in the rooms weren't available. I asked front desk and told me that they no longer have those available. Interesting.

Staff what’s extremely helpfull, gym was impecable everyday, easy to ge to metro and all Chicago attractions. And 2 blocks from Lou Malnati’s famous pizza and many other attractions. Size of the room was amazing for the area and the price .

Accommodating

Great location. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We asked to be moved to a higher floor, and the team were very accommodating to make this happen.

Chicago is clearly a very expensive city by the rates we paid. Additional hospitality charge seems an excessive addition above the room rate to cover pool & morning coffee.

Posizione fantastica, in pieno centro e ad un passo dalla metropolitana. Camera grande e letto comodo.Quando siamo arrivati non c’era la cassaforte prevista e abbiamo dovuto chiederla. (Un tecnico è arrivato molto velocemente e ce l’ha installata)

Servirebbero un frigorifero e un bollitore in camera. La camera è molto grande ma non c’è un posto dove appoggiare le valigie e c’è una sola sedia. C’era molta polvere in giro, e anche moquette e vetri non erano certo pulitissimi. Per ben tre volte la chiave si è smagnetizzata e non riuscivamo ad entrare in camera.
