Everything was superlative!!!

The location and hotel was impressive, rooms were clean and outside was well kept

While the hotel was impressive, the service at reception was mediocre to poor. The restaurant closed at 8pm with last order at 7:30. No exceptions. After that, you are on your own with no service or drinks for the rest of the evening, in the middle of nowhere. So, as an english speaking couple, we went to our room only to discover that there is not a single english channel available on TV. Breakfast starts at 8 even on workdays, no exceptions according to the receptionist so since we had to leave at 7:30, we were simply told we are out of luck. However, the waiter was highly accomodating (actually he was the only one) and he arranged breakfast for us early. To our surprise, we learned later from the receptionist that he had no authority to do so and therefore will be repremanded (never experienced ever during 20 years of business travel) Last not least, since there was no food or drinks after 8pm, and no TV in english, we went out. Coming back we learned that the gate closed at 8pm, and you had to get out of the car to find the phone number to call. Surprise, surprise, it took ovet 10min and 7 calls until finally somebody answered while we were standing in the rain. The final straw was that we were told next morning that our expectations of having the gate opened sooner were unreasonable and we were difficult guests. Hence, we checked out 2 days earlier as planned, which resulted in a 20 euro fee (fine) for each of the 2 days we left early and we found ourselves a very nice hotel with very warm and welcoming service. They also had a gate that closes at 6pm, but guess what, they gave us a remote control for gate opening.

Everything was great! Beautiful territory, beautiful hotel, rooms; very cozy, quiet place, comfortable bed. Very good meals in the restaurant. We enjoyed also private spa and massage. Dreaming to come back asap!

Ecerything was perfect, the staff was helpfull, breakfast was amazing and overall experiance in staying at this hotel was amazing.

No hot water at night - after midnight only cold water, this was not communicated to me beforehand, the food in the restaurant during dinner was quite cold and the veal "steak" was terrible - the tendon itself

Gorgeous place with a beautiful garden. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Special shout out to the head chef who is doing amazing things in the restaurant! The food was very very good, super fresh and made with locally sourced high quality ingredients. This is a man that cares and knows about food. On our second night we forgot the closing time of the restaurant was at 20.00, but even though the chef was ready to call it a night, he stayed to still cook us dinner. Truly amazing, thank you so much for that. Second special shout out goes to Tomás, our main man that took amazingly good care of us with each dinner. You are a gem and there are not many people as good at their job as you are. Thank you Tomás.

It's very nice to sit and eat outside, but the chairs are too low for the tables, which means you can barely see your plate let alone comfortably eat from it. We put 3 pillows on each chair to be a little bit higher, which helped a little bit. We were very happy we could bring our dog with us, but charging 40 euros a night for it is a bit mucho. 5 to 10 euros is normal.
