Our fault as no central heating at home, bedroom was too warm for us.

Good location. Great breakfast with lovely view from breakfast room. My luggage was looked after while I spent day in Oxford. Friendly staff.

The breakfast was really good .A very good choice from the buffet ,plus a cooked breakfast. I thought the beds felt really comfortable. The rooms are nice and clean. The location is perfect .A short walk to the center. Parking at the River Hotel is a bonus in Oxford. I would recommend The River Hotel to my friends and Family.

The charm of the place, the friendliness of the staff and the location

Very qwirky hotel but very clean and welcoming. Staff excellent and friendly. Location is superb next to the river but also just a few minutes from the city centre. Will definitely stay again.

Location convenient for the city centre

There was no ventilation in our room and the window didn't open so the room became over warm and stuffy through the night.

Fantastic location close to train station between the Thames and canal, on the edge of central Oxford; very walkable to all things Oxford University, Facilities older (like much of Oxford) not luxurious but extremely sensible - everything you need from light switches to door handles is exactly where you’d most like it to be. Surprisingly quiet for location

Parking and breakfast was included in the price, close enough to the center of oxford.

Room small and needed a deep clean and air conditioning. For how many employees I saw during my stay everything seemed unorganized.

10 min walking distance from/to the bus station. Breakfasts were freshly cooked plus small buffet to top up your full Engilish experience. Very tasty and satisfying. 15 min walk to the High Street where all the colleges are located. Nice Asian restaurant just at the other side of the street-very convenient when you arrive after a long trip. River just behind the hotel.

Attic room was hot and noisy at night ( street noise). External bathroom, although private and very clean, was a minus. The hotel is in the old house and rooms are old fashioned. It all feels a bit like a granny’s place

Perfect location and very cozy room. In our room there was a portable fan, we use it as it was a bit hot. Breakfast is traditional English, for the vegetarian options we were offered vegetarian sausage, eggs, toasts. They also had buffet with flakes, yogurt, fruits, jams etc.

Breakfast is marvellous: good service, excellent food, nice room. We liked also the garden very much. Because of the heat we could also take a swim from there in the quiet river Thames.

Some rooms are on the side of the street so it can be a little bit noisy.
