Unfortunately, we had a problem with our room. Our luggage was damaged by water on the ceiling. The accommodation did not take the damage seriously and did not offer us an adequate compensation for the damage.

Convenient location, just a short walk from the train station and within a walking distance to Oxford city centre. Close to shops, supermarket and restaurants. Brilliant service from all the staff.

No soap and shampoo in the bathroom. Our room being located near the road, the noise from people chatting outside can be heard and is annoying sometimes.

It's a basic hotel but it was clean and generally comfortable. Good location for walking into the town centre or along the river. Staff are responsive and helpful, both prior to and during the visit. E.g. as there is no lift, they were able to allocate my elderly parents a room on the first floor (as there are no rooms on the ground floor this was the lowest floor available) and helped them up with luggage. There are currently roadworks so no on site parking available but they have arranged parking just across the road (about 1min from the hotel) so there is minimal inconvenience. Breakfast is basic but sufficient. A cooked breakfast is available at a reasonable additional cost.

The road outside is very noisy. As there is no air conditioning, we had to open the windows and endure the noise as the weather was very hot when we stayed.

Breakfast was very good. The hotel was very quiet. Staff was very friendly. Right next door to train station. Easy walk to all the sights.

There are a lot of long, narrow, windy staircases. Very difficult with luggage or bad knees. It stressed me out.

Great staff, very comfortable, good facilities, attention to detail to make the stay enjoyable, excellent food, easy to find, parking and great location.

The corridor decor is a little tired but that doesn’t make a difference to the great stay and service.

We liked how convenient it was to get to, the privacy of being in the annex and the friendly staff. Even though the cooked breakfast wasn’t available they made sure to offer us toast and were really attentive

We’d have liked to be closer to the main hotel, it’s not clear when booking that the annex is over the road and down the street. It was also very hot in the room with no way to turn down the heating, and we only got a continental breakfast as opposed to the cooked we’d expected

The room and shared bathroom were basic but clean. Old looking bed but comfortable matress. Bonus towels were provided. Friendly staff and fantastic location. Breakfast was served 7.30-9.30 but as we had a lie in we missed it.

The location was excellent - just a few minutes into the town centre. Free parking on site. Continental breakfast was ok. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room was warm.

Indifferent service / welcome. Lots of people around but it took ages to get any kind of acknowledgement. We were celebrating our anniversary so this was quite a disappointing start. Very tired and rundown outside and throughout - with the exception of the bathroom - basic but very clean and recently refurbished. Two flights of narrow, steep stairs - they felt unsafe - even without trying to carry luggage. Small, broken on one side double bed. Lack of information on the hotel and the area. No extractor fan in the bathroom. Thin walls - lack of privacy. Only 2 star so I guess you get what you pay for, but £120 for one night in January felt like alot for not alot.

SO Comfortable bed!!! Gorgeous shower. Good range of breakfast options. Really lovely lady owner, friendly and very helpful.

WC and shower were outside the room, felt anxious about going in my towel, which only just covered me, to and from shower with other guests and needing to unlock/lock room each time needing the loo and be dressed. Wallpaper was coming away/think a bit of mould behind wallpaper next to/under sink and above radiator, towel rail very rusty. Cooked breakfast wasn’t that great/not completely cooked well. Mite expensive for 2 star hotel (£100 a night) even for Oxford prices but that’s probably because it was just a 10 minute walk to centre of Oxford.
