I’ll start first with the positive. Location is great. Neighbors are very nice. View is lovely Now negative. A quick summary - the AC broke and it took several days to fix (it was 86 in the house), the house was quite dirty after the cleaning service left (fans filled with soot, furniture had stains and burns), there was an awful smell of home heating oil in the bedrooms which gave all of us headaches (seems a tank was removed and never properly cleaned up), the sewer backed upon the property, the pots/pans need to be replaced, We spoke with the owner and property manager several times and offered them quite a bit of patience while we were there to remedy the situation. Eventual things got fixed - frankly we left the house cleaner and nicer than we received it. Now a few weeks after we left and multiple attempts with contacting the owner to offer us some return compensation for our poor stay - pure silence... Hence this long review. We could go on with more details but the system doesn't allow it.

This is a spacious, well-appointed house right on the bay with unbeatable views. They used a lot of industrial cleaning agent that smells like a combination of bug spray and gasoline. We had to open windows to circulate the smell out, and one guest still got a headache from the fumes. Switch to a cleaning product that is made for residential spaces and have someone deep clean so there aren't cobwebs and debris in the outdoor spaces/ on the furniture.

Very spacious and relaxing and well kept. We really enjoyed our stay.

First thing we noticed was a strong odor of gasoline and air fresheners. We had to unplug 8 or 9 of those and open the windows to avoid migraines. The gasoline smell never did fully go away. Second was the lack of sheets and towels…comforters were on the beds so it looked like the beds were made, but we had to go dig up sheets and towels. Towels we found were a mishmash of leftovers I’d use to dry the dogs on a rainy day, and no washcloths or hand towels. Bring your own if you plan to stay here. Next was the cleanliness issue…cobwebs in a lot of the upper corners, dust and hair on the floors, furniture is dusty, ceiling fans were caked with built up dirt, dishwasher was full of dishes…but the absolute worst was the furniture…heavily stained so we had to find blankets to cover it just to be able to sit down, and there was dog urine on the sunroom furniture and the floor. We contacted the owner but there was no remedy while we were there, so pretty gross. And while the location is really beautiful, there are fishermen on what we thought was a private dock out back every night, and with no blinds or curtains on those windows and door, there’s no way to have any sort of privacy while they’re out there. We were expecting a quiet peaceful retreat, but what we got was a dirty disgusting home with literally nowhere comfortable to even sit and enjoy our down time. Would absolutely not recommend this place!!

The house was a great size and layout for 3 adults and 3 kids (ages 1, 4, 11). It rained the whole weekend but the kids fished off the dock in the rain and swam in the hot tub and it kept them fully entertained. There's tons of perch and even some cat fish and it's easy fishing. Had a hiccup with warming up the hot tub but the owner was quick to respond and help. It might've been our mistake anyways once we realized that the + and - temp buttons do not show the adjustment - you just have to hit + the number of times that you want the temp to increase and then wait for a few hours and you'll gradually see the temp climbing. House was clean and decently stocked. Might need to get some more utensils and wash cloths but there was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent. We will definitely try to come back in nicer weather so the kids can visit one of the little local beaches too. We came to perryville to go to the great wolf lodge for a day but the kids said they liked staying at the house fishing and swimming more.

Beautiful Property, right on the water. We saw multiple types of birds including Bald Eagles and Ospry. The interior was updated, new floors and kitchen counters. Plenty of space for 6 adults. Hot tub was a great addition, clean and HOT! Will definitely return.

Great house and location, right on the water. The house is spacious with an open design, and direct water access. I would most definitely stay again.

Perfect spot to enjoy spending time with friends and family right on the water. The newly renovated home is your full and the open concept works great with a big group. The tiki bar could use a little repairs along with the ladder, going down to the water, but those are minor things. Everything is great and a great time!!

The home was a lovely open floor plan with the lovliest of views. Right on the water with a multitude of beautiful birds. As if that is not enough; a bonus of a hot tub right on the deck. Thanks for sharing your river home; hope to rent again!

The write-up is accurate. The cabin is right on the water. Excellent view of the river from the comfortable deck and hot tub. Added bonus, no boat noise because the channel for most boats is on the other side of the river. Nicely decorated inside and out. Great kitchen. The problem was the house was not clean. The floors were unswept. Dead bugs accumulated at the bottom of the window sills and door jambs. The furniture fabric was stained. The outside bar was a junk pile inside and the bar top was de-laminating and flaking plywood. I can tell you want cigars the past guest smoked from the left wrappers. On top of all that, we were asked to clean the bedrooms and bathrooms and wash, dry, and fold out linen before leaving before 11am.

We were celebrating my husband's 65th birthday with our 2 adult children, their spouses and our 9 month grandson. We loved enjoying the deck, dick and amazing views.

My family and I stayed here for my sisters wedding weekend. The house was perfect with the exception of the cleanliness. The owner depends on residents to clean the house- toilets, wash sheets/towels, etc. The house was not clean when we arrived; floors not swept, showers not clean. We did clean the house but were not able to finish the laundry because the washing machine would not rinse/drain.

I took my mom and sister on a post Mother’s Day get away. You are literally on the water- gorgeous views, great wild life, fishing right off the dock. The house was beautiful, open concept, and clean. My sister has a physical disability and this set up was perfect for her.

We enjoyed our stay to the fullest only mother nature will make her call when the time comes a little rain of course ,check out day clear up we all know how that goes but have to tell U the stay was pleasant quite peaceful fishing was also good too just our stay wasn't long enough, we enjoyed our experience their looking forward to stay a week or so next time .

Beautiful location and very comfortable property

My family and I stayed the weekend with friends and had the best time. The house and views were perfect. We will definitely be back again.

The rental was the perfect place to unwind after a hectic Christmas season. Although the frozen Chesapeake threw a wrench in our family polar bear plunge plans, it was nice to take in the views of the frozen winterscape from the comforts of the hot tub. Overall, the house was very clean, and the kitchen and bathrooms were in great shape. All of the beds were very comfortable, especially the memory foam bed in the master bedroom. We definitely would rent this place again and plan to do so in the summer time when the open water will hopefully be more inviting.

Had a small family gathering there, lots of sitting room, and a big enough kitchen for multiple people to work at the same time. It is beautifully decorated, with an open concept, making it feel bright and airy. As mentioned in other reviews, it's true the couch had some stains, but you can tell it is from spot cleanings and the type of material. We found the couches to be nice and big, and very comfortable for sitting or lounging! Combined with sunrises and water view, it's a peaceful place to spend your days. Good for small gatherings, friend retreats, or family getaways!

Overall was a good time. Property was clean and wasn't far from town. Was good to get away!

We had a low-key Bachelorette weekend at Brian's property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for just that and the hot tub was a huge plus. Plenty of space for everyone that came and communication with Brian was easy. I will agree with other reviews that the only downside was the dirty couches and overall lack of cleanliness, but it was not a deal breaker since everything else was very nice!

This is an amazing location on the waterfront with gorgeous views. It is the perfect location for quiet R and R as the water is not inundated with excessive boat activity. The house is laid out perfectly for family gathering. The only issue is it could have been a bit cleaner. We arrived at 3 am after an 11 hour delay at the airport due to weather. We had an 18 month old baby and found that we had to make the beds. The main living room furniture needs to be replaced due to stains and dirt. Even my husband and adult son did not sit on the furniture. There was also confusion about checking out… instructions on the bulletin board said to clean the property before check out including the bathrooms . A bit difficult to accomplish before 11am check out but I did it. I thought there was no housecleaning so I wanted to leave it clean for the next guests . Despite these issues, we had a wonderful stay on the waterfront and I would choose the rental again because it was the perfect location to attend my nieces wedding in North East.

This property fit us so well. We loved the open floor plan. Having 2 showers was a plus too. The hot tub was a highlight...so fun. But the view was my favorite, just so breathtaking. I couldn't get enough of the view from inside the house and from the deck. We brought a big raft and the kids just floated out into the bay everyday. We also brought lots of puzzles and a deck of card. Tried to fish and crab but nothing was biting but we all had fun trying. And everything worked great: the coffeemaker, ice maker, central air, dishwasher and the hot tub. No complaints. We brought all our own sheets and towels so clean up was alittle easier. Thanks for a great week.

We had a lot of fun staying here. The house has a nice open kitchen/living room/dining room area that is good for a large group. The view of the bay out the house is beautiful. A/C worked well and, in general, the house is nicer than it looks in the pictures. One thing to note is that if you aren't diligent about closing the screen door at night, a ton of bugs will get into the house (this was summer at the bay after all) and there were indeed a bunch of dead bugs stuck to the ceiling and walls near the door to the back. The requirement to wash and dry all sheets and towels is also unusual and a bit annoying, but not a deal breaker considering the other benefits of this house. I would stay here again.
