We came for a wedding and the house was ideal. Just 2 1/2 miles from wedding venue. The owners were excellent and the house was very clean.

We had a wonderful family reunion at this lovely home near fantastic Good Harbor Beach. Lots of space for gathering. Well furnished kitchen. Hosts were responsive without being intrusive. Would rent again!

Nice property!. AC is provided in most rooms but not all as stated in the listing - That gets a little rough on hot nights if you are the ones sleeping in the non-AC rooms :) Overall a very nice family friendly home close to the beech. Driveway is very steep and it is difficult to get in and out of onto the main road. There are a lot of stairs to get up to the house from the driveway way so a bit challenging for my 85 year old mother but again, overall a very nice home with very good hosts !

The house is ideally located between the two beaches, a short walk along lovely seaside streets to the prettiest end of Good Harbor Beach and an even shorter walk to Long Beach, great for morning walks and runs along its sea wall. The house is large with ample and comfortable outdoor space. A great week for the whole family.

Wonderful house! Bedrooms were great and plenty of them! Tons of room for adults and kids! Cozy living room, toddler friendly, loved the side siting room for night cap chats! Very close to the beach and town! Lisa was a great host, great to communicate with!

This was a perfect place to rent with grandchildren. The inclosed porch was a plus and the all around deck was perfect for them to play. Also the side deck was a great place to play cornhole. I also loved the two entrances to the bedrooms upstairs.

I hope you do take the time to read this. I will start this review by saying the property was a very good option, and it was a perfect fit for us. But unfortunately, not everything turned out to be as perfect as we'd expect it to be. Before our stay, it was outlined that we put dirty linens and towels in a specific bag, which was understandable. At the time of check out, we did exactly that and we also put in the bags with the dirty linen the blankets we had used. Given our current Covid-19 pandemic situation, this made sense to do. Who wants to sleep in our previsouly used blankets? While this made sense to us, it did not to the hosts. We were charged $200 extra for our extra careful thoughtfulness for the next guests. This tells me that we slept with blankets of another group of people because these are not regularly washed. Overall, the place was a great stay, the space was perfect, the cleanliness was good, not great and I would have chosen the place for a future stay but given the message of how rarely these blankets are washed, how clean is the space during these times where cleanliness and extra carefulness has become essential, it is no longer an option.

Family and friends week long getaway. All loved the house. Plenty of room, 12 minute walk to the beach, take the backroads not the main road when walking to the beach as the homes in the neighborhood on the waterfront make it a pleasurable walk on Salt Island Road. Will rent again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Aerie! Thank you! Our family loved all the space and the outdoor deck/patio. The reading nook was adorable and we enjoyed the large kitchen. We hope to return again. We fell in love with Good Harbor Beach!

This house can accommodate a large group (17) in some respects, particularly the number of beds, size of kitchen, and living room. Two bathrooms can be a stretch, but doable. The amount we paid for the linen service was an overpayment. The linens are old, thin, and limited; I have never rented thru VRBO & seen such unacceptable linens. I would have rented my own if I had known they would have been so bad. The dining room cannot accommodate 17 people, so beware, if you have a big group you will not all be sitting together. The house was not clean. We have two people in our family with asthma, so this was particularly disturbing & we took it upon ourselves to vac the bedrooms because of the accumulated dust under the beds. Having a toddler crawl on the floors, the dirt showed up on his pant knees & hands.In fairness to the owners, they have discussed the possibility of refunding the cleaning fee because of the houses’ condition. As of this time, we have not received that refund.

I have never used VRBO before. I have to say I'm not impressed. Has nothing to do with the house.

Lovely place. Perfect but for beds that left most of us gimpy every morning.

Overall the house was as advertised. A couple of suggestions. Please put the wireless network and password in the welcoming information. I would also suggest upgrading the TV and the TV package. For a bunch of guys on the weekend, to have no ESPN was very disappointing. The TV package is very limited, very few channels. Lastly, older house, so in cold weather it does take quite a while for the heat to come up. It ended up working out fine, but it was cold for a few hours. Overall the experience was very positive, very nice location, and clean inside.

We had a wonderful reunion of college housemates at Aerie House - some of whom hadn’t seen each other in > 40 years! The space really worked for us - great, large well-equipped kitchen, plenty of space for our group of 9 to hang out in the living room and on the sunny deck.

We loved our stay at the Aerie in Gloucester! Great location with so much to explore. By far the cleanest New England beach house we have rented over the years.

Lovely, spacious home by Good Harbor Beach and the fabulous Long Beach Dairy Maid. Wonderful week for a large family that went too fast. We hope to return soon.

We had a wonderful week! The house was perfect for all 17 of us and great that we could walk to the beach. There were so many different things to do for all ages in Gloucester.

We stayed for one week, 8 adults and 6 children. There was more than enough room for everyone whether it be sleeping or just hanging out. One draw back, the house is not air conditioned. We happened to arrive during an unusual heat wave. It was so hot! Sleeping was impossible for the first two nights. Happily, the weather broke and fans were just perfect to keep you comfortable. We would definitely book again.

This is the second year I have rented from this owner and they are so great to work with and so accommodating. Their properties are spotless and have all the amenities of home. We had such a great experience!!

Our group had such a lovely week! We had 13 people stay for a working meeting. The setting was wonderful - we were able to make a lot of progress on our work while still have the opportunity to check out the beach and Gloucester in the evenings. The house was spacious and accommodated our group really well. And Lisa and Patrick were a pleasure to work with!

This was the perfect stay for a group of 8 nurses! The house was clean, had a big, bright kitchen with everything you need to cook, and the bedrooms were perfect for our group with some room to spare. Both Long Beach and Good Harbor Beach are just a walk down the street along with a cute corner sub/pizza/ice cream shop. The neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. My favorite part was waking up to have a cup of coffee on the veranda. Definitely recommend!

My group rented this house for a girls weekend with many cousins and friends, and I could not recommend this property more for a larger group! Everything was well maintained and there were plenty of cups / plates / kitchen equipment for us to enjoy the weekend! It was tastefully decorated, very clean, and a short walk to Long Beach where many members of our group spent summers growing up. The hosts were super quick to respond to any inquiries as well! We hope to rent this house again!

Great space for a large group!

I booked Lisa and Patrick's property for a wedding. We had a group of 14 people traveling from all over the country and we had an amazing stay. Lisa and Patrick were responsive to emails and phone calls before our stay and were incredibly accommodating. The property is in a great location with a supermarket only a couple minutes away. All 14 people were comfortable, as the home has ample room for everyone. I would absolutely recommend the property to anyone looking to stay in the area, especially large groups!

My wife and I rented this house with four other couples for a weekend long wedding/celebration in town. Everything was as expected in the home, clean and tidy with plenty of space for us all to hang out together while also having plenty of bedroom space to for all the couples. The house was a short car ride to downtown and local beaches and had plenty of parking spaces to accommodate all our vehicles. Would definitely recommend this for large families or groups looking to get away.

The Aerie is a great place. Walking distance to the beach. Near both Gloucester and Rockport. The home itself is very well-equipped and kept everyone entertained. We would love to return in the summer sometime.
