La suite familiare , semplicemente meravigliosa! Tutti i dettagli perfetti! Il bagno spettacolare! Macchine per il caffè in camera. Estrema pulizia. Cordiale check in.

La colazione ...,niente acqua al tavolo o latte o yogurt, croissant, waffels, ci ha detto che non c'era nulla di questo! Servizio al tavolo con una sola cameriera, quindi servizio lento. Se volete mantenere la colazione a la carte serve più personale. Inoltre, non tutti amano la colazione salata, prevedere anche dei dolci o un menù per i bambini.

De ambiance van het hotel. Het is een heel oud hotel en dat was te zien. Ik hou daar heel erg van. Ze waren het aan het opknappen in verband met overname, maar daar hebben we weinig van gemerkt. De kamers zijn heel mooi, allemaal anders.

Het uitzicht uit onze hotelkamer en het terras. Dit zat aan de achterkant van een aantal tuinen en we keken op een muur. Dat was jammer.

Die Unterkunft war absolut ruhig und ein sehr atmosphärisches Hotel und Monnickendam ist ein netter Ort mit guten Restaurants. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr Aufmerksam und hatten immer Zeit für ein nettes Gespräch. Für uns der ideale Ausgangspunkt um Amsterdam zu erkunden. Am Besten mit dem Auto zum Bahnhof Nord Amsterdam. Ist ganz einfach zu erreichen und Park and Ride super ausgeschildert direkt am Bahnhof. Von dort mit der Tageskarte in die Stadt. Echt super. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Das Frühstück war nicht so unser Ding. Unser leckeres Brot oder knackige Brötchen haben mir gefehlt. Ansonsten war es OK.

Das Personal war wirklich sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Besonders beim Frühstück wurde einem jeder Wunsch erfüllt, bevor man diesen überhaupt mitteilen konnte. Großes Lob an die nette Dame, die uns versorgt hat. Positiv war die ruhige Lage, mit netten Restaurants direkt um die Ecke. Vom Hotel nach Amsterdam hat es ca 20 Minuten mit Bus und Bahn gedauert.

Für ein vier Sterne Hotel hätte ich mehr erwartet. Der Raum war recht klein, und an den Wänden waren Flecken, die aussahen wie Fettflecken. Im Boden war ein großes Loch. Der Blick vom Balkon war irgendwie ausladend. Man hat auf einen Hinterhof geschaut, auf dem ein komplett leeres Gebäude stand. Die Klimaanlage hat irgendwie auch nicht funktioniert und im Raum war es nachts sehr warm. Zudem fand ich es ein wenig befremdlich, dass die badezimmertüre aus Glas ist und garnicht ganz geschlossen werden kann. Also nichts für frisch zusammen gekommene Paare.

Ontbijt was heerlijk, maar niet heel speciaal.

A property dated 1697 is hard to find. This is a quaint heritage hotel in a quiet offbeat location situated in a quiet quaint town located on the shore, some 35 kms from Amsterdam. The staff is excellent and go out of their way to make you welcome and assist you in every way possible.

The town is small and most shops are closed by 4pm. There are a few eateries but you need to check whether they're functional and open for business. Getting to Monnickendam is expensive by taxi, though there's a regular bus service from Amsterdam which I didn't use because of the inclement weather and my lack of knowledge, and the hotel has an arrangement with a taxi service which you need to tie up with the hotel before hand.

Charming hotel with beautiful design and a welcoming team, who made us feel right at home. A great restaurant which served a good breakfast and exceptional dinners.

There is nothing we didn’t like.

The only food option is set menu with minimum 5 courses. Not easy if you want just a small one course light dinner.

Starting with welcoming, and moving on to accomodation, restaurant and service, everything was excellent. We were really impressed by the michellin star restaurant, the great 4 course menu, and impressing wine list. Our waiter was very attendive and well prepaired, the dishes were presented as they should be. Not least, congrats to the chef! Our suite was clean, tidy and very cosy, good amenities and comfortable matress. Again, congrats to the owner. Great job all of you! Hope to be back again soon!

Because of measures related to the pandemic the restaurant was closed and we had the option of having dinner in our room. The dinner was top notch, everything was delicious and we really enjoyed having it in our room. The breakfast was amazing too. The room was clean and functional, the bathroom luxurious.

We felt that room was a bit small for the price (n.b. having the table for dinner / breakfast inside the room probably made it feel a bit smaller than what it actually is).

Very attentive and friendly staff, located in the center of the town, spacious room. Brilliant food for dinner, even if it's a little awkward eating it in your room (no fault of hotel or restaurant staff, it's the times). Big, filling breakfast with fresh everything, including bread and pastries. Accommodated our 2 year old very well, with her sleeping and dietary needs. Interesting historical atmosphere. Comfy, soft bed. Great all in all!

The rooms could use a bit of attention. The suite we were staying in had a mirror that looks like it probably should be replaced, although that's a minor nitpick.
