It was very run down, I didn't feel safe staying the night, had to book somewhere else.

There’s nothing good about this place.

Dirty, derelict, and bug ridden. Stayed one night against my better judgement. Ended up with scabies.

Excellent WIfI ,great location- I was able to walk to most places in city,the bus centre and Botanic train station are each within a 10 minute walking distance as are restaurants ,the staff are nice and they gave me great advice,sociable hostel but quiet in sleeping hours .

For the price no bad things to say about the facility

The staff were amazing. Yousef was great to talk to. Tasha was so funny and amazing to talk to also.

I had a pleasant time staying in Lagan Backpackers. The bedroom was warm and the beds were comfortable, with clean linen and warm duvets. There was a large kitchen and a kitchen/dining seating area with extra tea and coffee if you forgot your own plus geography/travel books to read at mealtimes. The showers were clean and there were several cubicles, plus clean washbasins and clean toilets. I thought the staff were quite friendly and I got given a clean towel. The lounge seating area was comfortable and I drank my wine in there with a friend I made. I made a few friends in the hostel and people were generally well mannered.

Should be cleaner, shared areas are not clean enough, they don’t do daily cleaning. Floor ceramics are broken in bathroom, making too much sound. Needs fixing. No hot water at all, their excuse is we are full. Generally everything in rooms are too old, could be more clean. Location is really far to center, about 30 mins walk.

Staff were helpful as we had a significant flight delay and arrived late.

Staff were a good crack and the location is great. Beds are surprisingly comfortable. Can’t really complain for £29!

- Few staff members were friendly and rest of the staff was as if they were on their vacation. - You won't get a dedicated bed. So, consider yourself lucky, if you find it available after leaving it for a couple of hours. - Bad oder in the kitchen and in the room. But, especially in the kitchen.

The extra 40p that was not advertised on booking.com, booking.com needs to advertise prices clearly

The only redeeming aspect of the hostel was its location. Being centrally located was undoubtedly convenient for accessing nearby attractions and amenities.

I booked a two-night stay at this hostel with my friend, hoping for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. However, our expectations were shattered from the very beginning. On the first night, I awoke to a shocking discovery - I had been mercilessly attacked by bed bugs during my sleep. The result? A swollen eye that greeted me in the morning, leaving me physically uncomfortable and deeply disappointed. Such a blatant disregard for basic hygiene and cleanliness is entirely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the upkeep of the hostel. The horrors did not end there. The state of the bathrooms was nothing short of deplorable. It was evident that cleanliness was not a priority for the management. Filthy floors, clogged drains, and an overwhelming stench were just a few of the unpleasant surprises awaiting us. It is inconceivable that a supposedly reputable hostel would neglect such an essential aspect of guest comfort and well-being. As if these nightmarish experiences were not enough, upon returning from a day exploring the city, we were shocked to find an unknown individual sound asleep in the bunk bed designated for my friend. It became apparent that the administration had utterly botched the room allocation, leading to an unauthorized intrusion into our personal space. This lack of professionalism and attention to detail is utterly inexcusable and demonstrates a severe dereliction of duty on the part of the hostel staff. It is my sincerest hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for the management of the hostel to address these egregious issues promptly and take the necessary steps to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and professionalism that every guest rightfully expects and deserves.

It was where it said it would be and was cheap.

You hope for a bed and shower upon your stay. Unfortunately, this location had no towels and the way the staff spoke made it seem this wasn't the first time. As well my room did not lock upon arrival (they did kindly fix this when I commented on it). The following day towels were still not available. I left rested but still not washed. I wouldn't recommend.

Everything is broken (including the windows, door locks, lockers etc), it's dirty and I am very sure I got bedbugs from there. Terrible hostel, don't go there.

Arrived at the property and couldn't get in! Tried ringing the doorbell,rang 2! Separate no's and nothing but an answering machine! Had to drive back home after running the Belfast marathon ruined all my plans! And to top it off had to pay the price of the room since it was marked a "no show"! Absolute waste of time!

Nice stay overall, the room, bathroom and kitchen were quite well organised. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking during your stay. Also, the hostel provides free bread/milk/tea/coffee/sugar for the breakfast

Some of the bathrooms were broken, and others were in a very bad state. The water pressure was really poor. The overall cleanliness of the place (especially bathrooms and kitchen area) could be improved

The location is the only great thing however I would recommend spending a bit extra and staying elsewhere in the area.

The rooms and bathroom were filthy. The staff were loud during the evening when people were trying to sleep. The beds had bedbugs. Absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed!
