Some of the staff in club lounge were really great, even though overwhelmed by understaffing when the lounge was full. The outdoor seating for breakfast is a nice touch and the beds are super comfortable.

The hotel was full and you could tell. They overfilled the club lounge which meant there was hardly any food available during happy hour- they went cheap on the food to deal with quantity- chicken nuggets, onion rings, rice- not the usual Sofitel standard. However, some of the staff in the club lounge were lovely and one made us a personal cocktail. The gym is nice but the facilities are not maintained. The changing room showers were unclean. I saw the same old tissues and hair on the floor of the shower for three days. Also the pool jacuzzis were broken and the steam room/sauna were on/off regularly. All in all, not the luxury experience that Sofitel promises. We’ve stayed at a few Sofitels in China and this was the worst. There is hope though- the general manager recognised that they did not provide the service they should have and is looking to make improvements for the future.

A bit far from everything. One shopping mall nearby. But one needs a taxi or Didi to go anywhere ... the closest metro station is a 30-min walk away
