The bed was comfortable and the room was big

Linens were not clean, the room was super warm when I arrived. I was charged a rate completely different from what Booking indicated (including taxes), which felt like a rip off. For the price I could've stayed somewhere else that I know is much better. The restroom's toilet was clogged, the bathroom overall was not clean. The AC was super old and loud, and didn't do much of a difference. And it's not possible to request late checkout (like everywhere else), so you get charged additionally for checking out late.

They just gave me an available room not what I booked for and they charged me more than What I agreed upon. It wasn't fair. The service was not good. I contacted Booking and got no response

Staff were pretty friendly, location was good but mostly because it was next to where my friends were staying. The hotel itself is just "okay", not the best, a bit dated. The price for the room was good but the bathroom was pretty small.

The room just felt a bit empty and lifeless.

the safe was not working and when we were given the key (following request) still not working the electricity was off and we had to go back downstairs at the reception to have it turned on in the room. When we remonstrated (besides the electricity there was a very bad smell around the room and the bathroom) we were passed on to the “owner” (via telephone) that immediately started threatening us to call the police and cancel the reservation. He was intimidating, frankly the worst ever experience!!

there was a free airport taxi to hotel on the website on booking.com if over $ 1798 mex was met. and there is no one would like to honor it.

The hotel finally moved us to a better room after our 2nd night after we explained what was wrong for the first two days of our stay and texted bookings.com about what had happened with our reservation.

Showering had hardly no water pressure but a light stream of water out the shower head with not enough hot water...so you had to be quick showering. Hotel needs to upgrade 100%. In the 80's I worked with a travel agency sending people to this hotel and it seems that time stood still at the Calypso with no changes and upgrades since then. Not worth for what they are charging. I am sorry to leave negative feedback but in my opinion they have to do better than this. It was a 3 star hotel but in reality a 2 star would be more appropiate. Some of the personnel were nice but not all were truly sincere.

We were receiving dental care so didn't care if it was a really ritzy place. It is an older hotel probably in need of remodeling .

Old amenities pools weren't very inviting. Almost reminds me more of a fungal infection the bathrooms were very tight. Difficult to get behind the door to get to the toilet.

The receptionist was so rude, show no respect when we arrive, there was a dead cockroach in the room.

The location of the hotel is good, it is close to a bus stop, the beach is 5 minutes away, it has parking, a swimming pool, a restaurant, a market, and an oxxo is nearby, perfect to go with your partner or family.

Very clean, hotel territory well maintained, nice elevator, not far from beach to which you can get near ferry terminal on other side of the road from hotel Water pressure was very good, i think the best in whole trip

3km from Cancun hotels center, but there are a lot of busses for 12 pesos
