great location and staff were so friendly.

Therooom was very well cleaned and the staff, what we saw of them, helpfull The location is excellent.

The working of the taps in the bathroom was a continued source of irritation. We are both over eightly and they were simply too stiff for us to turn. A staff member assisted us once but nothing was done to make them turn more easily. But our main source of surprise was the difference between the impression given by the description of the place on the website and the reality. In effect the website gives the impression that this is a hotel when in reality it is simply offering a room with service. There was no food available, staff were only present for part of the day,and though it was possible to phone a staff member on at least three occasions there was no immediate response though I was told that staff would ring back, I did not leave a message since we were leaving the hotel. When I wanted a taxi to the airport I had to find one myself. While the pub itself offered refreshment not everyone likes pubs, my partner is an Israeli and has no taste for them. I did not feel especially annoyed. We enjoyed Richmond and the room was well kept and reasonably comfortable. I do not like complaining but I think the questions I have raised are real ones.

The overall experience was good and good value for money BUT

I had an extra 35 GBP deducted from my account, which after 2 emails the mgmt at the Red Cow have not explained or offered any feedback on. I find this really unacceptable and unfortunately leading to the overall poor rating. UPDATE: After 3rd email management apologized and refunded the amount in full. Bar tab had been mistakenly assigned to our room

The road outside was quite noisy but I sleep with earplugs!

Baking hot powerful shower. Comfy bed, amazing location.
