We visited Durham to tour Duke. The treehouse is very close to the Duke campus and was the perfect place for our family. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, silverware. We love the option of making a simple meal or bringing in takeout when we don’t have the energy to venture out, and the treehouse had everything we needed and more. Coffee, tea, sugar, microwave popcorn, nut bars, and spices were provided. There is a Super Target very near for anything else you might want. The treehouse is beautiful and comfortable. Many thanks to Linda for being such a wonderful hostess! We will certainly be back whenever we return!

This property was exceptional. From the decor, cleanliness, attention to details and communication from the host it exceeded expectations. It’s the little things that really set it apart from other places we have stayed. The switches in the home were labeled, there were snacks on the counter, coffee pods for the Keurig,a basket of blankets to use while sitting in the living area! It was lovely. Location is great, minutes away from Duke and 20 from UNC. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay in Durham and this house was perfect for all of our needs. It is in a beautiful spot nestled in the trees, and it was convenient to everything we needed. It is exactly as the pictures show. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dinnerware for cooking meals at home, the rooms are comfortable, and the whole property is clean and beautifully decorated and maintained. We will definitely check this place first the next time we are in town!

We had a lovely stay at the treehouse! Everything was just as described and it was such a great space! The open floor plan on the top was great for spending time with family and the bedrooms on the lower level were very comfortable! We will be back!

The tree house is everything you would want and more! It is SO comfortable. It has everything you will need to prepare meals, a wonderful location to Duke and the medical facilities, a wonderful neighborhood to walk around in, and a beautiful view of the Duke forest. We will definitely stay again if and when we are in the area.

This house is wonderful. Fully equipped, extremely comfortable and very quiet neighborhood. Very close to Duke University and a lot of stores and restaurants. Yet feels very private and secluded. Don't think twice!

We found the Treehouse to be an immaculate, welcoming, comfortable and very “well-appointed” home-away-from home. Kitchen was very well equipped, beds and bedding were very comfortable— even luxurious! All in all, a wonderful stay!

We had a great time. The house is gorgeous and in a fantastic location. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. It was the perfect place to unwind.

The host are in contact with you whenever you need them to be and unbelievably gracious and very accommodating :) the home is super clean lovely in decor and calm we felt like we were in a little oasis in the woods . beds r so so comfortable and the towels were awesome I think i will buy some of my own I wpuld definitely encourage anyone staying in the Durham area to stay in this lovely home

Loved our extended weekend here. The property had everything we needed and was a great location. Close enough to dining and entertainment but not in the middle of the city either. If we come back we would certainly look at this place again!

I can’t say enough positive things about my experience staying at the treehouse. First of all the neighborhood is completely terrific I went for many walks around it’s very quiet and lovely. Second of all the house is just so super cool it is in a woodsy area and decorated beautifully. It is incredibly clean and there is anything and everything you need right in the house it feels just like home. Finally the owner, Sue, it’s just the kindest sweetest person and very accommodating. With a daughter attending Duke this is the only place I would ever stay if I am coming to visit. This particular visit was a long visit and I felt very very comfortable and at home.

Our 28 year old daughter had surgery at Duke Medical Center, Durham, NC. Upon leaving the hospital, she recovered and gathered her strength to return home. This home was perfect for our needs!

My son had sports camps in North Carolina. This was in great proximity to everything we needed. All the amenities in the home that you will desire. Great property.

We stayed at the treehouse a couple years ago to visit our son at school , and then again at graduation . The location is very close to campus in a lovely neighborhood. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and relaxing in the treehouse. We felt at home here and appreciate the place to relax and recharge.

I don’t even know where to begin. Everything at this property is wonderful. The decor is great. I would love my own house to look like this! Communications with Sue and Gary were very accommodating and quick to respond. The kitchen was well stocked. The property is very quiet and private. This vacation was everything we could have wanted. We had a wonderful four night stay for a Duke Reunion weekend. The house was just as comfortable and well-decorated as the photos show, if not more so. There was not a single thing that we needed that the house didn’t have. The kitchen was beautiful and well-supplied. The beds were comfortable, there was plenty of closet space, and the bathrooms were very nice. We had more than enough space for two of us to stay, with two friends that live in the RDU area visiting from time to time throughout the weekend. The WiFi was also excellent, and we both were able to work online as needed during the weekdays with no problems at all. We were able to have a relaxing time catching up away from more activity on campus, while being close enough to enjoy all the activities that we wanted to attend. Really a perfect stay, and we hope to be able to visit again in the future! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Pat made our process so easy. I rented the house for surgery at nearby Duke. So close to the hospital yet very quite neighborhood. The home was immaculate. Beautifully decorated. Smelled nice too. Everything you could want in the kitchen I plan on going back for next surgery

I am a Kentucky girl who now lives in Topsail on the coast. Being nestled in the trees in such a beautiful property is exactly what was needed in February. The house is exceptional. From the decor, the thoughtful care of what is needed, you can tell the owners want to have visitors enjoy themselves. We walked the neighborhood, the nearby parks and enjoyed being centrally located to Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh. Highly recommend!

Clean, good amenities, convenient location

We spent our first Christmas away from home with our four adult children, one daughter-in-law and our infant granddaughter close at hand. Oldest son and his little family joined us for evening meals and a Christmas eve gift exchange. The rest of us enjoyed the comfortable beds, attractive up-to-date decor, well-equipped kitchen, and the nearby walking trails in between those visits. We hung our stockings on the stairway with care and St. Nick had no trouble finding us there!

We did have a little trouble with a new lock that had been recently installed but Sue was immediately “on it” and responsive. The house is beautiful and exactly as advertised. Moreover, Sue could NOT have been a more accommodating and gracious. We have rented many a VRBO property over the years and in many different cities. This was by far the nicest place we have ever stayed in and with the most responsive owners. It was a wonderful week!

Another wonderful stay -- this time to celebrate our daughter's PhD at Duke University!

Our daughter is a Duke freshman and we stayed for parents' weekend -- the house was so comfortable and amazing that we ended up napping, watching TV and having family time MUCH more than we would have if we stayed in a hotel. I cannot wait to stay again - LOVED IT!!!!!

Great experience at the treehouse. Linda Sue is very accommodating. The house is in great shape and location to Duke campus is ideal. Will look to book this house in the future.
