The house itself was perfect for our 2 families - well set up and equipped. Very clean. Good pool. Porto Covo is a wonderful destination. Communication prior to arrival good.

The property is currently situated in the midst of a building site which is a real shame as we were totally unaware of this prior to booking (listing since been amended on site). The builders started before 8 during the week which meant using the home and pool unpleasant when they were onsite. Fortunately it is a short walk to the beautiful beaches and town of Porto covo. Once the local building works are complete this will be a great place to stay. We were refunded for one day of our stay as compensation.

Very spacious and comfortable house with great location in quiet area and only 10 minutes to the beach. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds, only missing fitted wardrobes on 2 of the rooms.

The check-in time is only at 4pm and we were not given flexibility to have an earlier one. On arrival at 4pm, after driving for more than 4 hours with little children, the house was not ready to receive us. We could only check-in at 16:45 but were given the possibility of a late check-out.

The house seemed to be coping with some moisture issues. The floor was wonky, the house always felt very humid (even though we kept windows open and bathroom fans on) and there were moisture stains on the walls. The materials used were not the best quality. The house was very recent but (for example) the markings on the oven were already gone (so you had to guess what setting it was on) etc.

spacious, comfortable & well equipped. Paulo would respond immediately and send his team round if you needed anything. very relaxing and beautiful scenery a shorts stroll away. very peaceful.

unfortunately the area is undergoing substantial redevelopment and from the master bedroom you overlook a house in the process of being built. it’s such a shame how this property blocks a lovely sea view and at the moment us an eye site, there has been no thought to the design and if I was the owner of Casa Lusitania I would be very upset about this. thankfully the builders weren’t working that week so we weren’t woken early to any noise.

We would have liked some beach towels for the loungers by the pool as well as a visit from house keeping as we were there for 7 days and were expecting at least one visit for a tidy round/a refresh of towels and bed sheets for example. We know its not the owners fault but we would also like to suggest that the house rules and quiet policy is made clear to guests upon arrival because sadly on two seperate occasions, we had two nights of no sleep because groups of guests who stayed in the adjoined villa chose to have house parties (shouting, singing and playing loud music by their pool area until 5am in the morning) which was right by the main master bedroom. There was also some noise in the mornings due to construction work in the nearby villas as well.

The living room has a very comfy sofa but it’s quite small for the number of people and there were some chairs there that don’t fit so well in the space. Luckily we got sun shining and could stay outside
