I had a generally positive stay at Corujinha Hostel, with the highlight being Amir's exceptional service during check-in. He was incredibly helpful, showing me around the hostel and my room, which was clean and equipped with essential furniture for a comfortable stay. While the experience was good overall, there’s some room for improvement in terms of atmosphere, but for anyone seeking a straightforward, clean place with friendly staff, this hostel is a solid option.

While I was aware that the bathroom was shared, I found the toilets to be extremely tight and uncomfortable, as I couldn’t fit inside with the door closed. Privacy was also lacking, and I’d rate it a 7/10 in that regard. Additionally, finding the hostel was quite challenging; the entrance wasn’t clearly visible, and I had to ask for directions a couple of times. Making the entrance more prominent would significantly improve the experience.

- Überbuchungen sind Standard anscheinend. Wurde mitten in der Nacht vom Personal aufgeweckt um das Bett zu wechseln. Das war eine Katastrophe. - Absolut ungemütlich, Zimmer sind nicht abzuschließen und die Toiletten zu klein, um Falttüren (auch nicht abschließbar) zu schließen, ohne sich akrobatisch ober die Toilette zu hängen. - schlechte Lüftungsmöglichen und daher Schimmel in den Duschen, keine Mülleimer im Bad da diese auch viel zu klein sind. - die Mitarbeiter an sich sind teilweise freundlich. Das Personal spricht teilweise gar kein bisschen Englisch und ist nicht befugt, eigene Entscheidungen zu treffen. Es wurde sehr lange mit dem Eigentümer/Geschäftsführer am Telefon gesprochen und zu keiner Lösung gekommen. -man weckt niemanden auf und lässt ihn das Bett wechseln. - für Frauen nicht zu empfehlen außer I'm female Dorm da auch die Zimmertüren nicht abschließbar sind.

O hostel é bastante limpo, as funcionárias são muito simpáticas e prestativas. A localização é muito boa, perto da estação Metro Saldanha e de várias paragens de autocarro (uma delas mesmo à porta). A 10 minutos a pé do El Corte Inglês, e com muitos cafés e restaurantes perto. Também há muito perto um hipermercado Pingo Doce.

As divisões das casas de banho podiam ser maiores.

Fiquei no Corujinha pela segunda vez, pelo que já sabia da qualidade do hostel: os quartos e as casas de banho são bem limpos, e as funcionárias são sempre muito simpáticas. Quanto à localização é excelente com vários transportes quase à porta. A rua é sossegada.

Um problema constante é a falta de ar condicionado. Nos dias quentes é muito complicado, sobretudo quando num quarto com mais 4 a 6 outras pessoas.

Funcionários muito simpáticos e prestáveis, quartos e camas limpos, boa casa de banho, ainda que um pouco pequena.

Good location with many restaurants, shops and a park in walking distance. Working air-conditioning. Good Wi-Fi, friendly staff.

Bed was squeaky and the springs very noticeable. Very loud: cars honking, sirens, buses passing outside day and night. The toilets are ridiculously small - when sitting down, I had to lift my legs because the cabin was so tiny.
