We had a great time exploring the area and relaxing in this beautiful home. The house is decorated tastefully and is in a great location. We especially love how well Chesapeake Properties provided some starter products for us (dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, etc).The only two complaints we have are that the bed frame in the master bedroom has a leg in the middle, which we kept kicking, and the whale bedroom is quite small.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this property to others.

Great property, great location, great town! We loved everything about our stay. House has plenty of room for everyone (2 adults, 3 kids). Kitchen is well stocked. Lots of beach toys, towels, chairs and umbrella.

But it could have been cleaner - the carpets didn't seem to have been vaccumed and the bed linens and towels could definitely use a refresh. There is some newish seating in the backyard which would have been great except for the ants all over it. We looked for a hose or some cleaning supplies to wash them off but no luck. The management company was very responsive when we called to ask for some basic supplies that were missing and had them out to us in a few hours. All in all, a property I would consider renting again.

We were very happy with the house, although it could have been a bit cleaner. The rugs in particular were still very dirty, especially as we had a crawling baby and there was a lot of dust and dirt under the beds, which we discovered on a rainy day when the kids wanted to play hide and seek. Additionally, two of the toilet roll holders were falling off and a curtain rail was falling down (a worry with the kids). But nothing really deterred us from having a good week at the beach and a nice stay.

The house is picture perfect and has everything you might need. I wish I could move in!

We rented a golf cart for quick trips around town but the house was in a great location, super quick to the main downtown and the beach. The house was (not surprisingly!) so well decorated and stylish, well stocked and cozy for our stay. There were beach toys and chairs available for our use which we and our kids super appreciated! We'd highly recommend this rental for other travelers.

This was a lovingly renovated charming house, easily walkable to both town and beach. Open floor plan, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms made for a very enjoyable stay. A great little place in a super cute town. Just a note it's a SOLID 0.5 miles to the beach. However there is always ample parking so we would take the car with beach stuff and leave it there all day but walk back for lunch. The kitchen is fully supplied with cookware, salt, pepper and a couple of spices. Some sugar packets. There is hand soap in all bathrooms, and the main bathroom has shampoo, conditioner and body wash. there is a beach umbrella, toys and at least 8 beach chairs.

Such a cute and colorful place! Very short walk to all the local restaurants and shops. Fabulous weekend!

Such a lovely home with an easy walk to shops and the beach. It also had everything you could need for an enjoyable beach vacation (we loved that it was clearly well thought out by parents...step stools for the bathroom sinks, beach toys, and even a first aid kit!). The house is lovely and was clean and quiet. We definitely want to return in the summertime to get some swimming in!

As a fan of the Young House Love blog for years, it was especially fun to stay in "the duplex" (aka Doublemint) at Cape Charles. It was such a comfortable and fun place to stay. I came away feeling inspired to take on some house improvements and fresh decor updates back at home.

Very easy rental process and the property was very clean

We will be coming back, but only if we can stay here! Not only was the place clean, welcoming, and well-appointed, but its location was perfect! Walking distance to the shops, a couple of restaurants, and the Park and only a few blocks from the beach. Personally, I immediately felt at home and relaxed here and reserving the place and getting in was a breeze.

Doublemint is a gem for anyone visiting Cape Charles. The house was immaculate and was decorated beautifully. The location is perfect for beach and downtown access. I will definitely stay here again and again.

We loved our week at Doublemint! The house itself is adorable and super well designed. There are lots of conveniences like a keypad back entry, available pack and play and high chair for little ones, noise machines, beach chairs, foot wash outside, etc. It's really 2 very comfortable bedrooms and one small "bunkroom". it fit my 8 year old perfectly, but would be snug for an adult:) Overall, a great size for a small family, and an awesome location right in town. Highly recommend, and we'd love to come back!
