Great location! Tastefully appointed rooms. Though not our original plan, it was just the two of us staying for the five days. (One couple abruptly ended their stay, before even getting to house,due to contracting COVID.) I made dinner all 5 nights we were there. Booths is a great store. We caught a movie at the Regal and enjoyed the quirkiness of the theater. The bus system allowed us to get everywhere we wanted to go and was so close. Walking around the neighborhood was enjoyable. We were befuddled by the heating system but Alice cleared that up. The only disappointment was the washer and dryer which failed us. We ended up going to a laundromat but have been told we’ll be reimbursed. We never found the “black plastic bags” we used the black bag that was already in the container but did not find another one for the bottles or plastic. We just put them in the trash container outside. I did buy paper napkins and paper towels. The welcome gifts were very appreciated and consumed during our stay. Lovely accommodations. Were we ever to be in Bowness on Windermere, we would certainly want to call Andora our home again. Thank you! .

Fantastic house with all you need for a break away, good location near to shops, lake etc Really comfy beds with lovely bed linen and a nice large bath towel each, no hand towels though. As long as you don’t mind stairs the shower on the lower level is ok so enough showers if you share. Overall would we stay again - YES

Excellent property. Only downside was on-street parking! Difficult to get a parking space close to the property.

My husband and I recently stayed at Andorra Cottage with our three young children. The cottage was wonderfully cosy and welcoming, everything we were looking for for our first Windermere holiday. Just a short 10 min walk to Bowness shops and harbourside, and 20 min walk to Windermere. Accommodation was clean and well equipped, check-in was easy and Alison was very responsive, for any queries we had. The road was nice and quiet (as it was off the main street) and the neighbours were very friendly! Would definitely recommend.

Great house with loads of space in a convenient location near to the town centre. Very cosy and comfortable, so the perfect place to be when the weather turns wet and cold. Alison is a great host and I would stay here again.

Communication with the host was excellent. The property is very traditional and was very well presented. It has a homely feel with lots of nice features. The bedrooms are all a good size and very comfortable. The living room and dining room are a reasonable size but the kitchen is rather small - I’m not sure that 8 adults could be catered for (but there was only 4 of us, so no problem). There are plenty of glasses, crockery and cutlery. We couldn’t get the televisions in the bedrooms to work but this didn’t bother us too much. There is a small well sheltered outdoor area with furniture for when the sun shines. We were able to park right outside the property, free of charge. The town centre is only a 5 minute walk down the hill where there are lots of restaurants and bars. I’m not sure that guests should be expected to strip beds and bag up bedding and towels on departure. This seems to be a Covid hangover, but it wasn’t too much trouble. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Lovely property. We just thought the lack of a shower on the top floor serving two bedrooms was a nuisance and the tiny wash basins but apart from that thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We treated my mother in law to a break away to celebrate her 75th birthday. The cottage is a perfect retreat. The location was great with it being a short walk into the town. We found the cottage very comfortable and clean and everyone enjoyed the stay! Would highly recommend and would love to return again

6 adults enjoyed 4 days over New Year. Andorra Cottage is beautiful and well appointed. Ideally located in Bowness and no more than a 5 minute walk to the town centre where you can easily connect with the local bus service to visit other nice towns in this lovely part of England. A great experience enjoyed by all.

This is a lovely cottage that has everything you need and in a perfect spot for exploring the Lake District.

We were 3 mums and 5 teenage girls aged 16 years old . The cottage is in a prime location for walking to the shops , restaurants and Windermere. It is very clean including full Covid Sanitization policies . The decor is beautiful and very well homely and bathrooms are modern. Alison the host was always available on the phone for any questions or ideas about where to go to eat etc. All in all a hugely wonderful stay and we would return in a heartbeat.

Lovely cottage, very spacious, kids enjoyed the games room, in a beautiful location, walking distance to Bowness-On-Windermere. All of the family enjoyed their stay and would happily return.

Great location and nice property. It is spread over 4 floors with all bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors, which might be a problem for some people.

We had a lovely girls mim break. We played golf and eat out and the cottage was perfect for 6 ladies as it had 4 bathrooms! Will book again!

Good location, very clean would be happy to return, The only down side is the front door key wouldn’t work on the outside, had to lock it from inside and go out the back

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The home is wonderfully furnished and highly functional. The game room was enjoyed by our children. Location is super easy to walk into town. Host was very helpful and responsive.

House was tastefully decorated with good quality furnishings throughout. Alison was very quick to respond to queries and very attentive. House was spacious and as described. We enjoyed our stay very much. We had 6 adults and I imagine the house would be ideal for a family mix as it had a separate basement lounge that could be a room for kids with board games, computer games etc. We had a small issue with hot water to baths and one shower but Alison responded very quickly and because the house has three showers it didnt affect us too much at all. Would happily recommend this property
