The cottage was very comfortable and warm and generally well provisioned. Took off one star because it was advertised with a log burner but it's actually a gas fire. Not the same thing.

Lovely Cottage with a great enclosed rear garden.

We had a fantastic stay at Old Horns Cottage. The place had a really cosy feel with everything finished to a really high standard. Our 4 legged friend enjoyed himself immensely, all needs catered for from doggie treats to the nice welcome pack. The garden space is delightful. We cannot recommend the cottage highly enough.

This cottage is cosy and quirky. It has been thoughtfully equipped for both humans and pets. Having a dog, we appreciated the enclosed garden. It summer it must be lovely to relax in. One word of caution for people with mobility issues, the bath is quite high, the is no non slip mat and and there are no handles in the bath. The bannister is a rope in place of a rail and the stairs are quite steep. Apart from these issues, the cottage has been beautifully restored, is most comfortable and welcoming and is in a beautiful location, ideal for exploring Derbyshire and the Dales. We enjoyed our stay and would enjoy a future stay at Higham.

We travelled from Grand Rapids Michigan to meet our new baby grandson. The accommodation could not have been any better. It is absolutely beautiful. Very well equipped and finished to an incredibly high standard. The location was perfect, easy access to M1 / A38, but still in a quiet countryside setting.

The property is gorgeous and the site was perfect for accessing family in the Midlands.

What an incredibly decorated cottage with the perfect host. It was so nice I would have purchased it if I could. Wonderful garden out back, brand new throughout, and seamless check in and checkout. It will be our got to place for the Peak District.
