He views are amazing and house is huge. Definitely needs some maintenance and updating but we would stay again for sure because the location and views are amazing. We also loved the privacy in such a huge house

Besides A little plumbing problem and temperature of water being too hot( all fixed by maintenance) , this house is beautiful and large. There are a few stains on carpet in a few of the rooms. Lots of bathrooms , which was awesome. Beautiful, safe parking /security gate and a wonderful backyard w/jacuzzi, pool, sauna, fire pit and lots of outdoor seating. Lovely large kitchen but a bit small when cooking meals for 14 people.

I've been renting vacation homes for 18 years and this is my biggest disappointment. The home is in bad shape - from interior to exterior. 3 bathrooms were not functional - one didn't even have a handle to turn on water. Broken furniture, window coverings that didn't work, broken lights, badly stained drapes, mold/mildew, ill equipped kitchen (if 16 are signed up to be in the house, why are there only 14 forks?) All kitchen cabinets damaged. only 1 set of towels for each person for a week. I asked if the beds had mattress protectors on them (as a past review complained of this) I was told absolutely yes - and yet I have photos showing no protection. No This is not a luxury vacation home and certainly not worth the money. On the positive side, the view was nice and the pool was a plus. Management did send someone out to reclean part of kitchen and repair 3 baths - too little too late and did not permenantly fix the issues. Such a disappointment for what could have been a good house

We traveled to La Jolla as a group of eleven 70+ age friends. Our group has traveled extensively and between us have experienced over 80 vacation rentals. We universally agreed to the content of the following review: First the positive: The communication with the property manager, Vacasa, was quite good. They responded quickly when an errant smoke detector began to chirp from a low battery in the middle of the night. We would have tried to fix it, but there was no way to access the device. The first impressions of the home were impressive, with a grand piano showing off a fairly opulent front entry foyer. The kitchen was adequately stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and bowls. The beds were comfortable, albeit smaller than regulation queens (as was represented in the listing) in a couple of the bedrooms. The several outdoor gas firepits were very nice and the patio heaters allowed us to use the various outdoor spaces on the cool San Diego evenings in November. And, the view of La Jolla and the ocean was magnificent. The location relative to downtown La Jolla was terrific. Now the negative: Although the home may have at one time been impressive, the years of neglect have become apparent in virtually every aspect of the home. The impressive photo of the well-lit pool deck in the VRBO listing was a misrepresentation of a dirty, neglected outdoor space with leaves, palm fronds, and pool toys strewn about. The artificial putting green was unusable because of the debris. The hot tub worked fine, but heating the pool was an extra charge. The interior of the home showed neglect in virtually every room. The sheer drapes in every room were stained and literally shredded from age and abuse. Kitchen cabinet paint was chipped in several places. Half of the automated blind remotes were inoperable. One of the two dishwashers did not dispense soap. Virtually all of the furniture fabrics were stained. I regret that this review does not allow for submission of photographs (we took about a dozen) to substantiate these claims. The front door did not latch, so the deadbolt had to be activated each time someone went through the door to keep it from swinging open. This is the first vacation rental that any of us had stayed at that did not provide laundry soap, dishwasher soap, or trash bags (yes, we had to go to the store to buy our trash bags). We all agreed that over the years this was least value we had ever received for our vacation dollars.

This house was perfect for our large family. Something for everyone. A theatre for the children to watch Disney movies, large eating areas and a great outdoor area with a georgious view for cocktails when the little ones went to bed.

Some of the mattresses on the beds were too old and did not support the body. The furniture was old and kitchen chair had broken leg. The elevator was disabled and we senior citizens were unable to climb so many stairs (27-50 steps to go from top to bottom of property).

We rented the house for a family reunion (7 adults, 4 kids). There was ample room for everyone. However, the listing is misleading in that the property is not well maintained. Several items were broken or not working properly such as torn drapes, broken window latches, broken table and chair, dent in the wall, shower not providing hot water. Soap and shampoo as well as toilet paper were missing in several bathrooms. We ran out in 3 days and were told we had to purchase any additional supplies. The pool was full of trash but when it was cleaned after the weekend, we got a partial refund on its heating. The furniture is extremely shabby. Most bedrooms had inadequate window coverings. Overall, the property is way overpriced for the condition it is in.

Beautiful, expansive, wonderful home theater, infinity pool (recommend pay extra to have it heated); appreciated instructions on check-out check list and ability to have a Late checkout; Family Loved It wonderful way to gather for a college graduation, great memories

It’s good overall! Everything looks exactly as it’s on the pictures and it’s a beautiful view of La Jolla

My extended family and I (10 adults and 5 kids ranging from 11 months to 11 years old) rented this home over Spring Break 2022. It's a large, spread out home with 3 bedrooms upstairs, and another 7 bedrooms downstairs. We loved being able to have all our family in a single home and enjoyed the wonderful views from many of the picture windows. There were several fire pits and heat lamps and an awesome movie theater complete with reclining chairs and a giant movie screen and drawers full of DVDs. Everyone had a really nice time, but I will admit that the home has quite a bit of wear and tear that is obvious upon arrival. There are several broken light fixtures, broken vases, large dirty spots on carpets and rugs, a little bit of algae growing on pool/spa walls, several showers with broken handles or altogether inoperative, beds with flat sheets over a bare mattress and no mattress pad, broken access gates to the property, etc etc. Unfortunately the management company doesn't properly care for this beautiful home. We alerted them to all of the issues after our first night there and while they did offer to fix everything, we opted to hold off as we didn't want multiple repair people going through the house while we or all of our stuff was in there. They sent a repair person despite our explicit decline, who let himself into the home unannounced, taking us all by surprise. Vacasa did provide a small refund for our troubles, and overall we did enjoy ourselves, but the pretty pictures are somewhat deceiving. It felt a little unfortunate that the property management company (or home owners) would not set a week aside to properly care for the property and have everything looking and working as advertised, and expect their paying guests to deal with it. If you are expecting very high end, well maintained, meticulously cared for and cleaned property, this may not be the place for you. If you're looking for great views, lots of space, and the ability to stay in a home with a larger group, and and are fine with a bit of wear and tear, and want to be close to beautiful La Jolla, then it's a great spot for you!

This home is fabulous with extraordinary views. Home is super spacious and great for entertaining. Highly recommend

We are 3 families from Palo Alto, Chicago and Manhattan Beach. This is a perfect property for us to gather and catch up. There are so many areas to spend time together, swimming pool, jacuzzi, movie theater, game room, sitting rooms, patio areas. We had a lot of fun. Kyra is very helpful. Some areas of the property need to be kept up though, e.g, minor condensation and leakages in dashwasher/sink and refrigerators. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

This house is incredible. The pictures don't even do it justice! A sauna and movie theatre, beautiful views, it has it all. Would love to be back!

The pool and hot tub were fantastic though you certainly pay for them to be heated (we were there in Nov). For a little extra, we were able to bring our dog and that made the week so much more special for the family (property is well fenced in).

Overall I think a house like this should come with a few more amenities / luxuries for the price - the towels were tiny and they only really give you one per person by default (because you’re supposed to do the laundry, which is fine, but a towel upgrade would be nice). The bath amenities were cheap and some of the mattresses (downstairs master) were very soft and should be replaced. The house should also have a manual for guests as we had a lot of questions and would have preferred not to need to contact the customer service team every time. These are easy fixes!

The movie screening room was the highlight for our kids as they could watch anything on any streaming service as an evening activity.

Beautiful home just as advertised on the internet website! Contemporary decoration. Every room is nice and very clean. Awesome place for family vacation and reunion. Customer service is prompt and helpful. When we needed extra pillows and sheets, Morgan delivered them within 45 minutes. We were really impressed.
