I was a late arrival and I was so tired, and I was greeted with kindness and was very welcoming. She checked me in quickly and I requested a first floor room near my car and she was able to accommodate me. The room was awesome and well equipped. I will definitely be returning!

I have been to this property several times. I love the family suite with the loft. In walking distance to Whole Foods, CVS, restaurants and shops.

Good for families that need a full kitchen suite set up. In a neighborhood away from restaurants so will need to drive to eat and shop.

I booked this inn for two rooms, two nights for the fourth of july weekend, and this place is nice, clean, the staff are so hospitable and polite and the location is so convenient for going to the La Jolla Cove and the surrounding areas! Some of the other reviews do mention the maintenance of the property, but and while there was some paint chips on the outer of the doors, that was mostly it. The rooms were so much nicer and spacious than I originally thought and I felt very comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful and clean hotel, I'll stay over again. The staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very delicious.

Very comfortable after I asked for non-feather pillows. Great breakfasts, easy access to car, although they charged $15 a day. Only real downside was the kids that checked into the room above on the last day that jumped up and down until 11 pm

My partner and I stayed with our small dog and after a night out, we came back to our hotel room door locked on itself. You could tell it was a common occurrence in the room we stayed in as there was an indentation on the door from the security latch, it was not properly installed. Took us almost half an hour to get into our room where our puppy was in distress because she seen us trying to get in but couldn’t. They had to cut the lock in order for us to get in. For a $150 pet fee, our room should have not locked on itself!

Stay was comfortable and we enjoyed our vacation.

We had a great trip. The staff were helpful and friendly and the location was perfect for our trip. The hotel itself is a little run down from the exterior and the bathrooms but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Facilities are outdated. Housekeepers came through and cleaned with used towels from another room to clean all silverware and dishes. Food was just ok. Good spread, not many healthy options if that’s what you’re looking for. Cool loft layouts.

For me it was better than expected. My trip was solo & I didn't expect the kindness of staff, or the amount of space in the room given. I stayed a week. The hotel reminds me of villas. 2bedroom with kitchenette including oven. It was also my first experience at a hotel with pool a hot tub.

Awesome accommodation for the price. A full kitchen, sitting area and desk space and 2 closets. I only stayed one night but would love to come back and enjoy the space for longer.

The hotel is a great idea--close to UCSD, apartment style with kitchens--nice idea. But I urge management make critical improvements, or else word of mouth will be very bad. First, the lighting in the rooms, especially in the front next to the desk, is terrible. Students and business persons need adequate lighting where they work at the desk in their rooms. Second, the maintenance was awful--coming home my second night and seeing my trash waiting to be picked up in a bad outside my hotel room was disgusting, and the room couches are not clean and are very old. Third, the breakfast area is incredibly poorly laid out, with utensils, napkins and plates so hard to find that guests had to ask each other--this is easily fixable with common sense layout improvements. Finally, your hotel staff were totally unwilling to help when I warned them that a very large truck had parked illegally and nearly fully blocked the key internal street to the rooms. They literally told me they can't do anything unless a manager is onsite. So what must I do, confront the offending driver personally?? Your personnel need training and procedures when certain guests act illegally when they park. I think Residence Inn has GREAT potential but I hope they will address these relatively simple improvements.

Excellent location and property

We love the close proximity to UCSD! Very easy to walk to campus. We are returning customers for that reason and the fact that there is a kitchen in the room. The breakfast is included in the price but conventional and basic. The rooms in general need a makeover. Although clean they are very dated, even more so the kitchens… Please note, the pullout couch is not comfortable (that’s to be expected) and makes the access from the bed to the kitchen very tight. You will need to fold it after use to have enough space in the room. Parking is also additional as well as a very expensive extra fee for pets. The area designated for dogs to do their business was full of foxtails. Although a prior time (in the fall) there was almost no grass at all! It is close to WholeFoods for groceries and other restaurants for a quick lunch. A short drive down to La Jolla Shores for more dinner/lunch options.
