Incredible safari lodge with a water hole out back to attract animals. Beautiful rooms, a gorgeous restaurant and bar area, top notch service and food, and plenty of history to boot. They even washed my car for me overnight!

The stay was incredible! As you walk into the reception area you will be shocked by the view. The eating area is an open air area that has the most incredible view and is situated around the watering hole so that you can watch the animals approach as you eat. The service was incredible and the food amazing. The rooms were nice as well. The only issue with the room is that the fan is not above the bed and the nights were HOT. This, sadly is the issue I could find with the place. It was the most amazing place, but I found it hard to sleep while so hot.

The Lodge with that view is just amaizingly good. Food was OK, drinks very expensive. Breackfast was only english standard.
Service was most of the time good and always very friendly. - just few little things could be improved: One could offer binoculars to borrow - this would make the expereance of that view even better. Unfortunately nobode was able to inform us about the highlights / places to visit in the Nationalpark.
But still: the hotel is great, people are very friendly.

Awesome stay! We loved everything - the food, service, rooms, pool. I wished we booked more than one night. It seems pricey, but you get value for your money.

What an incredible place! The hotel was amazing, the staff superb and the views...wow! We went on some great game drives. I highly recommend the sundowner drive. We had Anthony as our guide, and he was amazing!
Food provided was very tasty with lots of options available.

What took my breath away were the two watering holes directly behind the Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge. I was able to see animals drinking at the watering holes from the patio of my room. Herds of elephants, giraffes, Buffalo, hyena and many more drink from the watering holes at all hours of the day. There are lights for night time viewing.
You can also see the animals at watering holes from the open air restaurant while you dine.
The cuisine is buffet style and delicious! Meals were included in the price of the room.
The game drives were in the morning, and in the evening, and very reasonably priced.
But what made this visit something I will never forget are the people who work there. Everyone was patient, kind, sincere, happy and warm. They really made me feel at home. Thanks!

We had three nights in this lovely hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed watching wildlife around the waterhole from the lodge. Staff were all fantastic, meals were great, game drives nearby were enjoyable. Highly recommend spending time here. We are birders and biologists so like watching the little things but we also enjoyed having a herd of elephants come by!

We stayed 3 nights in a suite. We would definitely return. Fantastic view. The resort is perched on higher ground and overlooks a vast area of hills. You see no signs of civilization, only wilderness. On a clear day you can see Mt Kilimangero. The resort overlooks 2 waterholes which are lit up at night. All kinds of animals come and go to drink and bathe. We would sit and eat in the restaurant and watch as small herds of elephants came with their babies and bathed and drank in the water. Zebras and buffalo would wait their turn to drink until after the elephants left. we saw hyenas, giraffe, antelope, warthogs come to drink. Because of the big expanse of view, with binoculars you can see animals coming in from a fair distance away. We were satisfied with the room. it was clean. Furniture is basic. Resort is a bit older property. I used the spa services which were good. Food choice and quality was good but not great. We rented an AWD vehicle and did our own safari drives in the park. Travo West NP not so busy as other parks so sometimes it felt like we had the park to ourselves. Really you could see all the same animals as seen on safari if you patiently waited and watched from the resort view.

The staff is very helpful and informative. The food is served mostly as buffets with a wide selection. The view of the water holes is great at all times. The room was larger than the average lodge with a sitting area.

Kilaguni is a magical place. The staff are absolutely lovely and do all they can to maximise your enjoyment of your stay. The rooms are great - we loved sitting out on our balcony watching the comings and goings of the wildlife. The setup of the restaurant over-looking the waterholes is perfect. It is hard to concentrate on eating at times! We were treated to a clever elephant that came right up to the restaurant to steal the water hose off the sprinkler and literally feed the hose down her mouth. She stood there sucking up good fesh water for about half-an-hour! What a treat.

Situated by a waterhole with Kilimanjaro in the background the scenery changes every time we look out, either from the hotel room, the bar or the restaurant. We keep coming back again and again.

As soon as you walk in you will see the dramatic views across Tsavo National park and a waterhole usually surrounded by zebra, Impala and baboons. Outstanding!
The rooms are beautiful too and the turndown service includes putting the mosquito net around the bed and turning on an electric insect repellent, though during my visit in May there were no mosquitoes anyway.

Amzing setting with the animals coming and going outside the hotel. All the rooms have excellent views and the restaurant serves good food morning lunch and dinner. Coming back from a safari the staff is waiting with ice cream or sumptuous cocktails. Cant wait to be back

The kilaguni Serena hotel is one of the best places I have ever stayed ,the staff are incrediable helpful ,the views from the rooms and restaurant are amazing ,you can sit there with a cold beer and watch the wild life come to the watering hole ,alternatively you can drive out into the park on safari and see many other animals(remember this is the largest safari park in Africa and not a zoo so the animals are quite hard to find) .We drove our own car which was a small jeep ,would recomend a 4x4 but not essential .
