It was great. We were not expecting the two flights of stairs and no tv but it was a very satisfactory stay

We expected and received a small and very basic room, reflective of the room rate, which was among the lowest we found in Quebec City. The room was clean, as was the bathroom, which appeared to have had relatively recent renovations. The room was up 2 steep flights of stairs with no elevator, which would be challenging for some travellers. Our biggest disappointment was that breakfast was served from 8am - 10am, which we felt was a late starting time. One of the reasons we chose the property was that breakfast was included, but we had to depart by 7:30 in order to catch our train so no breakfast was provided. There wasn’t even a coffee pot available in the room, or anywhere on the property.

The building is over 100 years old with classic furniture, modern bathrooms and a charming inn keeper. Very conveniently located with just a short hike up the hill or a walk around the bottom of the hill to the many interesting shops and sights.

Gerald was awesome, the place was cute & super clean, breakfast was fantastic. 5 min walk to the old Quebec

It definitely is not a 3 star hotel even though it is advertised as such. The sheets were clean and the bathroom was clean, but the lamps and curtains were layered in dust. The restaurant made you not want to touch or eat anything there. Gerald does everything there on his own and does work constantly. Location is good, but you need to expect a 1 star hotel, not 3.

Excellent Manager, great breakfast, great location, excellent price, spacious room with all required facilities a family of 5 could need. TV was very big and new. Rooms are quite dated, but clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The guesthouse was conveniently located, fairly priced and came with an amazing breakfast. Gerald was very helpful and accommodating.

The room was adequate for three ppl though there was no coffee machine or microwave...so no way to make coffee or tea in the evening. Bathroom was small but adequate as well.

Nice homemade breakfast. I like the manager's sense of humour. Place has a rustic character. City needs to clear snow better outside on sidewalk, very slippery in winter due to the slope.

Host was really helpful with maps and brochures. Room decor was European with colors and wallpaper. King bed in Raudot room comfortable. Renovated bathroom. Breakfast filling with croissants, crepe, jelly, maple syrup, fruit dish, jc, fresh coffee. Hotel was close to bus stops, restaurants, and easy to walk to attractions. Would highly recommend.

Quaint, great location. Not all rooms have TVs, but in a city as great as Quebec, who cares? WIFI is good. Breakfast may get monotonous if you stay several nights, as it is the same each morning - Apple cider, choice of coffee or tea, a nice bowl of fruit and three pastries - a crepe, a croissant and a chocolate-filled roll, served with two small containers of jam and a container of maple syrup. Portable AC is pretty loud

Very basic , tight room with small bed , good size bathroom perfect for 1 night stay. Wonderful with breakfast . No TV in room .

This is an attractive, comfortable place in a good location, with a bit of character. The fellow who runs it is a wee bit odd, and I can imagine some would find that off-putting, but wasn't an issue for us.

We stayed 2 nights. For the price, the location couldn't have been better. The owner (I think) was very helpful in mapping out a great itinerary for us to follow that worked with the amount of time we were going to be there. He also has a wonderful Mr. Potato set of toys for my daughter to play with which was great. The description says toiletries are included, but not what you would expect. Bring conditioner and lotion. The rooms and building could certainly use updating, but this was perfect for our needs.

We booked this hotel, when we got there, no one was at the reception, we had to wait 15 minutes, the owner checked us in, the rooms were really antic and badly renovated, in the morning while having breakfast at the lobby, there were some muslim guests sitting near us at the breakfast table, the owner kept making racists remarks. we told him that we did not appreciate it and left. the only positive about this place was the lady that made breakfast!. Never again will I book this hotel

We enjoyed our stay. We thought the location was awesome. Great at answering our questions and we don't speak French and he was so accommodating even looking up the translation.

Great location for a walking vacation, easy walk to the old city, the marketplace, restaurants, ferry, museums, etc.

I arrived in Quebec via train and was so thankful I didn't need to drag my suitcase up the hill into high Old Quebec. L'Intendant is at the base of the hill and is very close to everything, especially the Old Port and the low Old Quebec. Once free of luggage, the short (a few blocks) trek up the hill to high Old Quebec is much more pleasant. My first day, I walked all through the high Old Quebec, visited the Citadel, Parliament, and the Plains of Abraham. All walking. All after a beautiful breakfast of a crepe, croissant, strawberry preserves, raspberry jam, maple syrup, fruit salad, plus fruit juice and coffee/tea -- which is included in the B&B room charge. The second day was spent poking through the shops in low Old Quebec, which is just a block or two away from the B&B. The room was simple but pleasant. The bed was squeaky but comfortable and the bathroom was clean. I would happily stay here again. The owner and his staff speak English and are patient if you want to chat (or try chatting) in French.
