There’s no ac and the room was hot. You couldn’t open all two windows- one for safety reasons and the other was the road noise. Able to open the small window in the bathroom but wasn’t able to cool off the room. I had issues sleeping due to heat - kept waking up. Lots to do around the hostel from shopping dining and entertainment. Buses are within walking distance. Comfortable bed and privacy curtains.

Friendly staff but did not enjoy the room much as it is warm, doesn't have air condition, not well clean, unsafe wirings and very loud fan. Breakfast is available but we did not expect that it is a make your own breakfast. The hostel needs to level up considering their high cost, it is not worth the money at all. Wouldn't recommend, sorry.

My first check in with the aussie dude desk attendant and girl was awesome. His relief was impolite and when I asked to be switched from a dirty mixed room to a clean women’s there was an issue at first. Not really accommodating, and I’ve lived in some hostel dives in Australia. Wouldn’t stay again but the ppl I met were awesome and some of the workers are solid. Cheers!

Very very hot that I couldn’t sleep many nights in a row !! Not very clean! Bed sheets were dirty! But also other people didn’t much care about cleanness as they would through their hair in sink causing blockage. The staff and manager were good and attentive! But overall I had an uncomfortable stay.

The worse hostel I have ever had. The staff who handled my check-in was extremely unpleasant and totally unhelpful. No lock was provided for locker. She suggested me to buy at the gas station. I failed to get one and returned to talk to her. She found me a lock without any difficulties at all but charged me $5. The locker is very narrow and barely good for one carry-on suitcase. The hostel has storage for larger items but very dirty as for garbage storage.
Top of the fridge inside the dorm was very dirty and dusty. The water tank of the toilet has water leaking issue. I had to open the lid to fix that in order to prevent wasting of water. Told staff re same. Breakfast is totally self help, made my own pancakes.

My first hostel stay and it won’t be the last! I lucked out with a clean room, great roommates and the location was perfect and walkable to shopping and restaurants. Liquor store onsite, decent variety of breakfast although I found the kitchen a little chaotic and confusion. Some signage would help! I’d definitely recommend this as an affordable place to stay while visiting Banff (hotels are outrageously priced, this was a fraction of the cost!)

4 bedroom Hostel with an included shower and bathroom in the room, a hard find. All amenities were clean, they provide basic breakfast downstairs in the morning and were helpful talking about activities in the area

This place should be leveled to the ground. It is an old motel turned into a sorry hostel. The infrastructure is more haphazard post apocalyptic than a proper hostel.
It has a liquor store on the premises and it seems that the LOCAL drunks start there and finish up crashing in the hostel.
Overall this place gives an impression of subsidized rehab government housing than a place for tourists.

I stayed for 2 nights and booked a room with double bunk beds. I paid just over 1000 dollars for a 2 night stays (hey it’s Banff!). The door to the bathroom made a loud noise whenever it was opened or closed as the edge of the door was rubbing on the floor each time.
Also, dont fall for the free breakfast. They just have some cereals, bread and jam and its help yourself kinda place. Its basically a hostel and a place to crash. I would have been much happier at a motel but I knew what i was signing up for. Otherwise the bed and the room was clean and they provided what is required for your stay.

I thought it was the good place to stay because of high review rate. However we were very disappointed, almost all "hardware" in the room needs to be remolded (too old). Bedding are too cheap. Parking place is so small and kitchen is mess (even it is clean), breakfast is almost nothing to choose. Any way hostel will be not a good choice for a group of three.

The people were nice but the room was freezing when I arrived. Another guest had left the window open and then the door was also very drafty.
Offered a second space heater and an extra blanket (which had hair on it). They did come to take a look at the draft and said they would work to fix it in the morning.
Sheet also had some stains on it.
Dishes in the shared kitchen also had some hair on them. I was surprised that breakfast was included though so that was good.
New experience for me, wasn't the worst but not sure id hostel it again if I had the choice.

I was worried about theft at a hostel, but roommates were nice and it was perfect if you're in your hotel just to sleep. And you don't come to Banff to sit in a hotel room. Staff was very friendly and I had a comfortable, safe sleep and met some nice folks.

Limited parking, the unit has no aircon, limited supply of toileries such as toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner and soap. So disappointed with the breakfast serve.

I love staying at this property because it is close to everything. Friendly and helpful staff. Well recommended. I would always stay here whenever I come to visit Banff . Cheers!
